Weich-elastische Polymerschaumstoffe - Polyurethanschaumstoffe für Polsterzwecke mit Ausnahme von Teppichunterlagen - Anforderungen (ISO 5999:1982)

Diese Internationale Norm legt Anforderungen an elastische tragende Polyurethanschaumstoffe vom Polyether-Typ fest.
Sie gilt für weich-elastische Polyurethanschaumstoffe, die als Schaumblock, in Platten und Streifenform, als Formkörper sowie als rekonstituiertes Material für allgemein tragende Anwendungen, mit Ausnahme von Teppichrückseiten und -unterlagen hergestellt werden. Die Norm bezieht sich folglich in erster Linie auf die Qualität von Polyurethanschaumstoffen zur Anwendung für Polsterzwecke.
Der Schaumstoff wird entsprechend dem Verhalten während einer Ermüdungsprüfung klassifiziert, wobei die Eindrückhärte als eine zweite Möglichkeit zur Einstufung des Materials dient.
Diese Internationale Norm gilt weder für Hinterschäumungen, noch für Schaumstoffe zur Verwendung in heißgeschweißten Systemen, außer für tragende Anwendungen.
Empfohlene Anwendungen für den Bereich weich-elastischer Polyurethanschaumstoffe entsprechend dieser Internationalen Norm werden in Anhang B aufgeführt.

The text of ISO 5999:1982 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 45 "Rubber and
rubber products” of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been taken
over as EN ISO 5999:2004 by Technical Committee CEN/TC 249 "Plastics", the secretariat of
which is held by IBN.

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of
an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by January 2005, and conflicting national
standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by January 2005.

According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of
