Glass in building - Determination of the bending strength of glass - Part 5: Coaxial double ring test on flat specimens with small test surface areas

This standard specifies a method for determining the comparative bending stength of glass for use in buildings, excluding the effects of the edges. Note: See 5.1.4 in prEN 1288-1:1997 for an explanation as to why this test method should only be used for comparing the strength of types of glass, and not for assessing strength for design purposes. The limitations of this standard are described in prEN 1288-1. prEN 1288-1 should be read in conjunction with this standard. This test is not suitable for patterned glass.

Diese Norm legt ein Verfahren zur vergleichenden Bestimmung der Biegefestigkeit von Glas im Bauwesen unter Ausschluß von Randeinflüssen fest. Anmerkung: Siehe 5.1.4 von prEN 1288-1:1997 zur Erklärung, warum dieses Prüfverfahren nur für vergleichende Festigkeitsprüfungen verschiedener Glasarten, aber nicht zur Bestimmung der Biegefestigkeit f~ur Bemessungen verwendet werden sollte. Die Grenzen der Anwendbarkeit dieser Norm sind in prEN 1288-1 beschrieben. prEN 1288-1 sollte in Verbindung mit dieser Norm gelesen werden. Diese Prüfung ist nicht auf Ornamentglas anwendbar.

Verre dans la construction - Détermination de la résistance du verre à la flexion - Partie 5: Essais avec doubles anneaux concentriques sur éprouvettes planes, avec de petites surfaces de sollicitation

La présente norme spécifie une méthode de détermination de la résistance à la flexion du verre utilisé dans le bâtiment, en excluant les effets de bord. Note: Voir 5.1.4 du prEN 1288-1:1997 pour une explication concernant cette méthode d'essais. Il convient d'utiliser celle-ci pour comparer la résistance des différents types de verre, et non pour établir la résistance de calcul. Les limitations de cette norme sont décrites dans le prEN 1288-1. Il y a lieu de lire le prEN 1288-1 conjointement avec la présente norme. Cet essai n'est pas applicable pour les verres imprimés.
