Surface active agents - Determination of the polyethylene glycol content according to molar mass in non-ionic surface active agents (ethoxylated) by HPLC/ELSD

This European standard specifies a method for the determination of the polyethylene glycol (PEG) content in aromatic and aliphatic non-ionic surface active agents of the type R - (O - C2H4) p OH; where p is the mean ethylene oxide (EO) value. It is applicable to all ethoxylated products soluble in methanol or methanol/water mixture. This method applies to PEG concentrations as mass fraction greater than or equal to 0,1 %.

Diese Europäische Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung des Gehalts an Polyethylenglykol (PEG) von aromatischen und aliphatischen nichtionischen grenzflächenanktiven Stoffen der Formel R-(O-C2H4) p OH fest, wobei p der mittlere Ethoxylierungsgrad (EO) ist. Das Verfahren ist auf alle in Methanol oder Mischungen aus Methanol/Wasser lösliche ethoxylierte Produkte anwendbar. Dieses Verfahren ist auf Massenanteile an PEG größer oder gleich 0,1 % anwendbar.

La présente norme européenne spécifie une méthode de détermination de la teneur en polyéthylène glycol (PEG) dans les agents de surface aromatiques et aliphatiques non ioniques du type R - (O - C2H4) p OH, où p est la valeur moyenne en oxyde d'éthylène (OE). Elle s'applique à tous les condensats d'oxyde d'éthylène solubles dans l'éthanol ou dans le mélange méthanol/eau. Cette méthode ne s'applique aux concentrations de PEG dont la fraction massique est supérieure ou égale à 0,1 %.
