Admixtures for concrete, mortar and grout - Test methods - Part 4: Determination of bleeding of concrete

This European Standard describes a method to determine the relative quantity of mixing water that will bleed from a sample of freshly mixed concrete. This method applies to concrete mixes with aggregates having a maximum size up to 50 mm.

Diese Europäische Norm beschreibt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Menge des Zugabewassers, die von einer Probe frisch gemischten Betons abgesondert wird. Dieses Verfahren gilt für Betonmischungen mit einem Größtkorn bis 50 mm der Gesteinskörnung.

Le présent document décrit une méthode de détermination de la quantité relative d'eau de gâchage susceptible de ressuer d'un échantillon de béton fraîchement malaxé. Cette méthode est applicable aux bétons contenant des granulats dont la taille maximale ne dépasse pas 50 mm.

Foreword
This European Standard (EN 480-4:2005) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 104
“Concrete and related products”, the secretariat of which is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by April 2006, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the
latest by April 2006.
It has been drafted by Subcommittee 3 (SC 3) of TC 104 "Admixtures for concrete, mortar and grout".
