Conveyor belts - Method for the determination of the tear propagation resistance of textile conveyor belts (ISO 505:2017)

ISO 505:2017 specifies a method of test for the measurement of the propagation resistance of an initial tear in textile conveyor belts, either in full thickness or of the carcass only.
This test is intended for application to textile belts in installations where there is a risk of longitudinal tearing.

Dieses Dokument legt ein Verfahren zur Messung der Weiterreißfestigkeit an Textil-Fördergurten fest, die mit einem Einschnitt versehen wurden, entweder in voller Dicke des Fördergurtes oder nur in der Karkasse.
Diese Prüfung gilt für Textil-Fördergurte, die zum Einsatz in Anlagen vorgesehen sind, bei denen die Gefahr des Reißens des Gurtes in Längsrichtung besteht.

L'ISO 505 :2017 spécifie une méthode d'essai pour le mesurage de la résistance à la propagation d'une déchirure préalablement amorcée des courroies transporteuses à carcasse textile, soit en pleine épaisseur soit dans la carcasse seule.
Cet essai est destiné à être appliqué aux courroies textiles utilisées dans les installations pour lesquelles il existe un risque de déchirement longitudinal.

Ta preskus je namenjen uporabi v tekstilnih trakovih in napravah, kjer obstaja nevarnost raztrganja po dolžini.

This document (EN ISO 505:2017) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 41 “Pulleys and
belts (including veebelts)” in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 188 “Conveyor belts” the
secretariat of which is held by SNV.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by June 2018, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by June 2018.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN ISO 505:1999.
