Hose fittings with clamp units - Part 2: Hose side parts of hose tail
This European Standard specifies requirements for the hose tail of hose fittings according to EN 14420 1 for use with clamp units according to EN 14420 3. Furthermore, it specifies materials for hose fittings with clamp units according to EN 14420-4 to EN 14420-8.
Maximum working pressure is 25 bar; maximum working temperature is 65 °C.

Diese Europäische Norm legt Anforderungen für den schlauchseitigen Stutzenteil von Schlaucharmaturen nach EN 14420-1, mit Klemmfassungen nach EN 14420-3 fest. Darüber hinaus legt sie Werkstoffe für Schlaucharmaturen mit Klemmfassungen nach EN 14420-4 bis EN 14420-8 fest.

En outre, elle spécifie les matériaux pour raccords pour flexibles avec demi-coquille conformes aux EN 14420-4 à EN 14420-8.

EN 14420-2:2013 (E) 3 Foreword This document (EN 14420-2:2013) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 218 “Rubber and plastics hoses and hose assemblies”, the secretariat of which is held by BSI. This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by January 2014, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by January 2014. Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights. CEN [and/or CENELEC] shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights. This document supersedes EN 14420-2:2004. In comparison to EN 14420-2:2004, the following changes have been made: In Clause 2 the normative references have been updated. A new Clause 3 "Terms and definitions" has been added. Subclause 3.2 "Surface finish" has been deleted. In Clause 5, the list of materials appropriate for use in hose fittings has been supplemented by aluminium and hastelloy.
