Plastics - Plastic films - Determination of tear resistance using a trapezoidal test specimen with incision

This document specifies a method of determining the tear resistance of a plastic film under specified conditions. It is applicable to products that, because of their flexibility, do not tear when clamped between the grips of a tensile testing machine. The method makes it possible to compare samples of different products provided their thickness does not differ by more than 10 %.

Dieses Dokument legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Weitereißfestigkeit von einer Kunststofffolie unter festgelegten Bedingungen fest. Es ist anwendbar für Produkte, die aufgrund ihrer Flexibilität nicht reißen, wenn sie zwischen die Klemmen einer Zugprüfmaschine gespannt werden. Das Verfahren ermöglicht den Vergleich von Proben unterschiedlicher Produkte unter der Voraussetzung, dass sich deren Dicke um nicht mehr als 10 % unterscheidet.

Le présent document spécifie une méthode permettant de déterminer la résistance au déchirement d’un film plastique dans des conditions spécifiées. Il est applicable aux produits qui, en raison de leur flexibilité, ne se déchirent pas lorsqu’ils sont serrés dans les mors d’une machine d’essai de traction. La méthode permet de comparer des échantillons de produits différents à condition que leur épaisseur ne diffère pas de plus de 10 %.

Ta dokument določa metodo za ugotavljanje odpornosti plastične folije proti trganju pod določenimi pogoji. Uporablja se za izdelke, ki se zaradi svoje prožnosti ne raztrgajo, ko jih vpnemo med ročaje stroja za natezno preskušanje. Metoda omogoča primerjavo vzorcev različnih izdelkov, če se njihova debelina ne razlikuje za več kot 10 %.
