Secondary batteries for the propulsion of electric road vehicles - Part 1: Test parameters
This standard specifies the values of the various parameters such as voltage, current, power and temperature to be used in the testing of battery cells, monoblocs and modules used for the propulsion of electric road vehicles. The standard also defines certain test conditions and procedures.

The text of document 21/641/FDIS, future edition 1 of IEC 61982-1, prepared by IEC TC 21, Secondary
cells and batteries, was submitted to the IEC-CENELEC parallel vote and was approved by CENELEC as
EN 61982-1 on 2006-10-01.
The following dates were fixed:
– latest date by which the EN has to be implemented
at national level by publication of an identical
national standard or by endorsement (dop) 2007-07-01
– latest date by which the national standards conflicting
with the EN have to be withdrawn (dow) 2009-10-01
Annex ZA has been added by CENELEC.
