Fibre optic interconnecting devices and passive components - Fibre optic circulators - Generic specification

IEC 62077:2010(E) applies to fibre optic circulators, which are: - non-reciprocal optical devices; - passive components; - have three or more ports for directionally transmitting optical power. This standard establishes circulator requirements and quality assessment procedures. The changes with respect to the previous edition are listed as: - having substantially increased the number of terms; - having added an informative annex for examle of filtering technologies; - having deleted quality assessment procedures.

La CEI 62077:2010 s'applique aux circulateurs utilisés dans le domaine des fibres optiques présentant toutes les caractéristiques suivantes: - ce sont dispositifs optiques non réciproques, dont chaque port est soit une fibre optique, soit un connecteur à fibres optiques; - ce sont des dispositifs passifs, conformément à la classification et à la définition données dans la CEI 62538; et - ils disposent d'au moins trois ports pour la transmission de la puissance optique de façon directionnelle. - Les modifications par rapport à l'édition antérieure concernent: - l'augmentation substantielle du nombre de termes; - l'ajout d'une annexe informative fournissant un exemple de technologies de filtrage; - la suppression des procédures d'évaluation de la qualité.

Ta mednarodni standard velja za cirkulatorje, ki se uporabljajo na področju optike in imajo vse od naslednjih značilnosti: - so nevzajemni optični elementi, pri katerih so vsaka vrata optično vlakno ali konektor optičnih vlaken; so pasivni elementi v skladu z razvrščanjem in opredelitvijo, ki ju določa IEC 62538; - imajo tri ali več vrat za usmerjeni prenos optične moči.

Foreword
The text of document 86B/2871/CDV, future edition 2 of IEC 62077, prepared by SC 86B, Fibre optic
interconnecting devices and passive components, of IEC TC 86, Fibre optics, was submitted to the
IEC-CENELEC parallel vote and was approved by CENELEC as EN 62077 on 2010-05-01.
This standard supersedes EN 62077:2001.
The changes with respect to EN 62077:2001 are listed below:
– having substantially increased the number of terms;
– having added an informative annex for example of filtering technologies;
– having deleted quality assessment procedures.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN and CENELEC shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent
rights.
The following dates were fixed:
– latest date by which the EN has to be implemented
at national level by publication of an identical
national standard or by endorsement (dop) 2011-02-01
– latest date by which the national standards conflicting
