Electrostatic hand-held spraying equipment - Safety requirements - Part 3: Hand-held spraying equipment for ignitable flock

1.1 This European Standard specifies the requirements for hand-held or hand-operated electrostatic spraying equipment for ignitable flock within a temperature range from 5 °C to 40 °C to be used in explosive atmospheres generated by their own spray cloud. This European Standard deals with all electrical hazards significant for the electrostatic spraying of flock, which could also contain small quantities of added metal particles, if the work is carried out under conditions recommended by the manufacturer. In particular, this includes ignition hazards resulting from the generated explosive atmosphere. This European Standard specifies the design-related and test requirements for electrostatic spraying equipment of type A-F and type B-F according to Table 1 of EN 50223:2010. 1.2 Electrostatic applicators are considered to be equipment of group II, category 3D for use in potentially explosive areas of zone 22. All other parts of hand-held electrostatic spraying equipment are considered to be equipment of category 3D if they are installed or used in potentially explosive areas of zone 22. NOTE 1 Solvent vapours which could be evaporated by workpieces coated with adhesives do not lead to a zone 2 in the flocking area. 1.3 In addition to the requirements above, the requirements of EN 1953 applies with regard to all other significant hazards relevant for applicators (e.g. health hazards, inadequate ergonomics). 1.4 This European Standard does not apply to  zone classification of the areas in and around spray booths [see EN 50223],  zone classification of other areas with potentially explosive atmosphere [see EN 60079-10-2],  selection, erection and application of other electrical and non-electrical equipment in areas with explosion hazard [see EN 60079 14 and EN 50223],  cleaning of spraying areas, see instruction manual of the spraying equipment,  fire prevention and protection, for instance fire hazards due to other sources [see EN 50223],  explosion protection systems [see EN 50223],  dust hazards [see EN 12981]. NOTE 2 Noise is not considered to be a significant hazard for hand-held spraying equipment for ignitable flock.

1.1 La présente Norme Européenne spécifie les exigences relatives aux matériels portatifs de projection électrostatique ou aux matériels actionnés manuellement pour flock inflammable dans une plage de températures de 5 °C à 40 °C utilisées en atmosphères explosives, celles-ci étant générées par leur propre nuage de projection. La présente Norme Européenne traite de tous les dangers électriques importants concernant la projection électrostatique de flock, susceptible de contenir également de faibles quantités de particules métalliques additionnelles, si les travaux sont menés à bien dans des conditions recommandées par le fabricant. En particulier, ceci inclut les risques d'inflammation résultant de l'atmosphère explosive ainsi produite. La présente Norme Européenne spécifie les exigences relatives à la conception et aux essais des matériels de projection électrostatique de type A-F et de type B-F, conformément au Tableau 1 de la EN 50223:2010. 1.2 Les applicateurs électrostatiques sont considérés comme des matériels de groupe II, catégorie 3D pour une utilisation dans des emplacements potentiellement explosifs de la zone 22. Toutes les autres parties des matériels manuels de projection électrostatique sont considérées comme des matériels de catégorie 3D, si elles sont installées ou utilisées dans des emplacements potentiellement explosifs de la zone 22. NOTE 1 Les vapeurs de solvants susceptibles d'être évaporées par la pièce à traiter revêtue d'adhésifs ne conduisent pas à une zone 2 dans la zone de floculation. 1.3 En plus des exigences ci-dessus, les exigences de la EN 1953 s'appliquent pour ce qui concerne tous les autres phénomènes dangereux importants appropriés aux applicateurs (par exemple, risques pour la santé, inadéquation ergonomique). 1.4 La présente Norme Européenne n’est pas applicable  à la classification en zones des emplacements à l’intérieur et autour des cabines de pulvérisation [voir la EN 50223],  à la classification en zones d'autres emplacements comportant une atmosphère potentiellement explosive [voir la EN 60079-10-2],  au choix, au montage et à l'utilisation d'autres matériels électriques et non électriques dans les emplacements comportant un danger d'explosion [voir la EN 60079-14 et la EN 50223],  au nettoyage des emplacements de projection, voir le manuel d'instructions du matériel de projection,  à la prévention de l'incendie et à la protection contre l'incendie. Par exemple: les dangers d'incendie dus à d'autres sources [voir EN 50223],  aux systèmes de protection contre l'explosion [voir la EN 50223],  aux phénomènes dangereux relatifs aux poussières [voir la EN 12981]. NOTE 2 Le bruit n'est pas considéré comme un phénomène dangereux significatif pour les matériels manuels de projection pour le flock inflammable.

Ta evropski standard zajema vse električne nevarnosti, ki se pojavijo pri elektrostatičnem brizganju kosmičev, ki lahko vsebujejo tudi manjše količine dodanih kovinskih delcev, če je delo opravljeno pod pogoji, ki jih priporoča proizvajalec.
