IEC 61987-11:2012(E) provides a characterisation of industrial process measuring equipment (device type dictionary) for integration in the Component Data Dictionary (CDD), and generic structures for Operating Lists of Properties (OLOPs) and Device Lists of Properties (DLOPs) of measuring equipment in conformance with IEC 61987-10.

Ta del standarda IEC 61987 zagotavlja – karakterizacijo merilne opreme za industrijske procese (slovar tipov naprav) za integracijo v slovar podatkov o komponentah (CDD) in – rodovne strukture operativnih seznamov lastnosti (OLOP) in seznamov lastnosti naprav (DLOP) za merilno opremo v skladu z IEC 61987-10. Rodovne strukture za OLOP in DLOP vsebujejo najpomembnejše bloke za procesno merilno opremo. Bloki, ki se nanašajo na določeno vrsto opreme, bodo opisani v ustreznem delu serije IEC 61987 (na primer IEC 61987-12, merilniki pretoka). Lastnosti opreme, ki niso obravnavane v tem delu serije, na primer OLOP in DLOP za merilnike pretoka, skupaj z bloki in lastnostmi, bo mogoče najti v prihodnjih delih IEC 61987-12.
