BRIEF HISTORY
The IS0 Recommendation R 267, Figures for Aircraft Instrument Dials and Number Plates,
was drawn up by Technical Committee ISO/TC 20, Aircraft, the Secretariat of which is held
by the British Standards Institution (B.S.I.).
Work on this question by the Technical Committee began in 1955 and led, in 1958, to the
adoption of a Draft IS0 Recommendation.
In May 1960, this Draft IS0 Recommendation (No. 367) was circulated to all the IS0
Member Bodies for enquiry. It was approved, subject to some modifications of an editorial
nature, by the following Member Bodies :

HISTORIQUE
La Recommandation ISO/R 267, Chiffres pour les cadrans des instruments de bord et les
plaquettes indicatrices des aéronefs, a été élaborée par le Comité Technique ISO/TC 20, Aéro-
nautique, dont le Secrétariat est assuré par la British Standards Institution (B.S.I.).
Les travaux relatifs à cette question furent entrepris par le Comité Technique en 1955 et
aboutirent en 1958 à l’adoption d’un Projet de Recommandation ISO.
En mai 1960, ce projet de Recommandation IS0 (NO 367) fut soumis à l’enquête de tous les
Comités Membres de I’ISO. I1 fut approuvé, sous réserve de quelques modifications d’ordre rédac-
tionnel, par les Comités Membres suivants:
