Incandescent lamps - Safety specifications - Part 2: Tungsten halogen lamps for domestic and similar general lighting purposes
This part of IEC 60432 specifies the safety and the related interchangeability requirements of tungsten halogen lamps for general lighting service. It covers those tungsten halogen lamps that are used as direct replacements for conventional tungsten filament lamps as well as new tungsten halogen lamps which have no correspondence in IEC 60432-1, but for which the safety and interchangeability requirements are treated by this standard in conjunction with IEC 60432-1. These tungsten halogen lamps have the following characteristics:
– rated wattage up to and including 250 W;
– rated voltage of 50 V to 250 V inclusive;
– caps B15d, B22d, E12, E14, E17, E26, E26d, E26/5039, E27 or E27/5139.
This standard also covers single-ended lamps, within the above ratings, which are not direct
replacements for conventional tungsten filament lamps, but serve the same purpose.
NOTE 1 There is no implication that a tungsten halogen lamp used as a substitute for an incandescent tungsten filament lamp would use the same bulb shape as the original incandescent lamp. NOTE 2 There are two variations of E26 caps which are not fully compatible. E26/24 caps are used in North merica and E26/25 caps are used in Japan.

Ta del standarda IEC 60432 določa zahteve glede varnosti in s tem povezane zamenljivosti halogenskih sijalk za splošno uporabo v razsvetljavi. Zajema halogenske sijalke,
ki se uporabljajo kot neposredna zamenjava za konvencionalne sijalke, in nove halogenske sijalke, ki niso obravnavane v standardu IEC 60432-1, ampak so zahteve glede njihove varnosti in zamenljivosti obravnavane v tem standardu in standardu IEC 60432-1. Te halogenske sijalke imajo naslednje značilnosti:
– nazivno moč do vključno 250 W;
– nazivno napetost od 50 V do vključno 250 V;
– vznožke B15d, B22d, E12, E14, E17, E26, E26d, E26/50x39, E27 ali E27/51x39.
Ta standard zajema tudi sijalke z enojno vijačnico v okviru zgoraj navedenih moči, ki niso neposredna

OPOMBA 1: Ni navedeno, da bi halogenska sijalka, ki se uporabi kot zamenjava za sijalko brez zgorevanja, imela enako obliko bučke kot izvirna sijalka brez zgorevanja. OPOMBA 2: Obstajata dve različici vznožka E26, ki nista povsem združljivi. Vznožki E26/24 se uporabljajo v Severni Ameriki, vznožki E26/25 pa na Japonskem.

This amendment A2 modifies the European Standard EN 60432-2:2000; it was approved by CENELEC on 2012-
04-26. CENELEC members are bound to comply with the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations which stipulate
the conditions for giving this amendment the status of a national standard without any alteration.
Up-to-date lists and bibliographical references concerning such national standards may be obtained on

parallel vote and approved by CENELEC as EN 60432-2:2000/A2:2012.
