Adhesives - Determination of torque strength of anaerobic adhesives on threaded fasteners (ISO 10964:1993 modified)

The test method described in this European Standard is used to make comparative assessments of the securing or locking effect of anaerobic adhesives used in threaded assemblies. This method may be used for other types of adhesives, if considered suitable.

Das in dieser Europäischen Norm beschriebene Prüfverfahren wird angewendet, um die Klemm- oder Sicherungswirkung anaerober Klebstoffe in Gewindeverbindungen vergleichend zu erfassen. Dieses Verfahren darf auch bei anderen Klebstoffarten angewendet werden, sofern sie dafür geeignet sind.

La méthode d’essai décrite dans la présente Norme Européenne est utilisée pour effectuer des évaluations comparatives de l’effet de fixation ou de verrouillage des adhésifs anaérobies utilisés sur des assemblages filetés. Cette méthode peut être employée pour d’autres types d’adhésifs, si elle est considérée appropriée.

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by October 2009, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by October 2009.
