The concept of Technical Liaison Partnership with CENELEC
Any request for Technical Liaison Partnership with CENELEC is to be addressed to the Central Secretariat. The latter will investigate thoroughly the relevance of the proposed liaison and assess whether the nature of assistance that would be provided by the organization concerned is clearly demonstrated with regard to the CENELEC work in question. To this end, the CENELEC Central Secretariat shall seek the advice from the concerned technical body.
Načelo o tehničnem sodelovanju s CENELEC
Vsak zahtevek za tehnično sodelovanje s CENELEC je treba nasloviti na glavno tajništvo. Slednje bo temeljito raziskalo pomembnost predlaganega sodelovanja in ocenilo, ali je narava pomoči, ki bi jo zagotovila zadevna organizacija, jasno prikazana v zvezi z zadevnim delom CENELEC. S tem namenom bo glavno tajništvo CENELEC prosilo za nasvet zadevni tehnični organ.

Introduction
The provisions laid down in this guide frame within the context of Subclause 4.3.2 “External Liaisons”
of the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations Part 2 and more particularly the section referring to “other
technical liaisons” between CEN/CENELEC and third organizations.
The concept of Technical Liaison Partnership as set out hereafter is primarily intended for – but not
limited to – fast moving and innovative market segments where inputs from pre-standardization efforts
can be highly beneficial to serve as a possible basis for CENELEC work.

1 Definition
A Technical Liaison Partner is either a European organization or an international organization
with a European branch that, through its recognized expertise and the development of
standards or similar technical documents, can provide inputs to the work of a technical body.
These contributions can take the form of technical documents or contributions to the work
programme of this technical body.
2 Application
Any request for Technical Liaison Partnership with CENELEC is to be addressed to the Central
Secretariat. The latter will investigate thoroughly the relevance of the proposed liaison and
assess whether the nature of assistance that would be provided by the organization concerned
is clearly demonstrated with regard to the CENELEC work in question.
To this end, the CENELEC Central Secretariat shall seek the advice from the concerned
technical body.
3 Approval
Technical Liaison Partnerships shall be submitted by the Central Secretariat to the Technical
