ISO 17235:2011 specifies a non-destructive method for determining the softness of a leather. It is applicable to all non-rigid leathers, e.g. shoe-upper leather, upholstery leather, leather-goods leather and apparel leather

Diese Internationale Norm legt ein zerstörungsfreies Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Weichheit von Leder fest. Das Verfahren gilt für alle weichen Lederarten, wie z. B. Schuhoberleder, Polsterleder, Lederwaren- und Bekleidungsleder.

Cuir - Essais physiques et mécaniques - Détermination de la souplesse (ISO 17235:2011)

L'ISO 17235:2011 spécifie une méthode non destructive pour déterminer la souplesse d'un cuir. Elle s'applique à tous les cuirs non rigides, par exemple: cuirs à dessus de chaussure, cuirs d'ameublement, cuirs d'articles de maroquinerie et cuirs pour habillement.

Usnje - Fizikalni in mehanski preskusi - Ugotavljanje mehkosti (ISO 17235:2011)

Ta mednarodni standard določa nedestruktivno metodo za ugotavljanje mehkosti usnja. Uporablja se za vse prožne vrste usnja, npr. usnje, ki se uporablja za zgornji del čevlja, tapetništvo, usnjene izdelke in obleke.

This document (EN ISO 17235:2011) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 289 “Leather”, the
secretariat of which is held by UNI, in collaboration with IULTCS "International Union of Leather Technologists
and Chemists Societies"
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by June 2012, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at
the latest by June 2012.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent

Foreword
ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies
(ISO member bodies). The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through ISO
technical committees. Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been
established has the right to be represented on that committee. International organizations, governmental and
non-governmental, in liaison with ISO, also take part in the work. ISO collaborates closely with the
International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) on all matters of electrotechnical standardization.
