Destructive tests on welds in metallic materials - Hot cracking tests for weldments - Arc welding processes - Part 1: General (ISO 17641-1:2004)

This standard gives an introduction to the fundamentals of hot cracking in weld metals and parent alloys, and briefly describes the tests available for arc welding processes.
3 Part 2: Self restraint tests - specifies the tests which should be used to assess the susceptibility to hot cracking of weld metals. The strains to cause cracking are provided by the restraint of the weldment.
3 Part 3: Externally loaded tests - describes the tests which can be used to assess the susceptibility to hot cracking of parent alloys and weld metals. The strains to cause cracking are provided by external loading on the test specimen.
NOTE   The tests in part 3 require the use of non-standardised proprietary equipment and different laboratories use various procedures, test conditions and specimen sizes, therefore reproducibility within a given laboratory is usually good but differences between laboratories are sometimes found.

Diese Norm beschreibt die Grundlagen der Heißrißbildung und legt das Prinzip zur Prüfung der Heißrißempfindlichkeit von Schweißzusätzen, Grundwerkstoffen und Schweißverbindungen fest und charakterisiert die am meisten genutzten Prüfungen. Als Ergänzung werden eine Übersicht über die Heißrißprüfverfahren, ihre Einteilung in prEN ISO 17641-2 und prEN ISO 17641-3 dieser Norm und ihre Anwendungsbereiche gegeben.

La présente norme européenne décrit les aspects fondamentaux de la fissuration a chaud et définit les principes des essais de sensibilité a la fissuration a chaud pour les produits consommables, les matériaux de base et les assemblages soudés. Elle spécifie également les essais qui sont les plus couramment utilisés. De plus, elle présente une vue d'ensemble des méthodes d'essai de fissuration a chaud, leur classification dans le cadre des prEN ISO 17641-2:2000 et prEN ISO 17641-3:2000, ainsi que leurs domaines d'application.
