- PVC‑C: 0.5 × PN at 80 ± 2 °C for 1 000 h - no leakage
- PVC‑U (cold water): up to 3.2 × PN at 20 °C and 1.3 × PN at 40 °C for 1 000 h - no leakage
- PVC‑U (industrial): 3.2 × PN at 20 °C and 1.0 × PN at 60 °C for 1 000 h - no leakage
- Note: PN = nominal pressure; thicker fittings or supports recommended for high‑temperature tests to prevent deformation.
- Internal pressure testing to EN ISO 9311‑3 with sampling defined by the manufacturer. Examples of requirements:
- High‑temperature resistance, durability and shelf life
- Durability of tightness and high‑temperature resistance assessed per the standard.
- Minimum shelf life recheck: producers shall re‑test film properties and shear strength after the declared shelf life (minimum 12 months when stored unopened as instructed).
- Release of dangerous substances
- Declaration and testing follow national rules where no harmonized EU test exists.
