This European Standard specifies a UV spectrometric method for the determination of low-level residues of dithiocarbamate and thiuram disulfide fungicides as xanthogenate. Dithiocarbamate and thiuram disulfide fungicides release carbon disulfide under specified conditions (e.g. mancozeb, maneb, propineb, thiram, zineb). It is applicable to such compounds especially in and on those foodstuffs of plant origin for which low maximum residue levels have been set.

Diese Europäische Norm legt ein UV-spektralphotometrisches Verfahren zur Messung von Xanthogenat für die Bestimmung geringer Gehalte von Rückständen an Dithiocarbamat- und Thiuramdisulfid-Fungiziden fest, die unter den beschriebenen Bedingungen Schwefelkohlenstoff freisetzen (z.B. Mancozeb, Maneb, Propineb, Thiram, Zineb). Dieser Europäishe Norm-Entwurf gilt für solche Stoffe insbesondere in und auf denjenigen Lebensmitteln pflanzlicher Herkunft, für die niedrige Rückstandshöchstmengen festgelegt sind.

La présente norme européenne spécifie une méthode spectrométrique UV de dosage des faibles niveaux de résidus de dithiocarbamates et de fongicides a base de bisulfures de thirame en tant que xanthogénate. Les fongicides dithiocarbamates et bisulfures de thirame liberent du bisulfure de carbone dans les conditions décrites (par exemple le mancozebe, le manebe, le propinebe, le thirame, le zinebe). Elle s'applique a ces composés en particulier dans et sur les aliments d'origine végétale pour lesquels de faibles limites maximales de résidus ont été établies.
