This standard specifies a method of determination of the thickness of the tube body material of aluminium tubes. It is applicable to tubes used for packing pharmaceutical, cosmetic, hygiene, food and other domestic and industrial products.

EN 12375:2009 - Packaging: Flexible aluminium tubes - Wall thickness determination method - is a CEN standard that specifies a repeatable laboratory procedure to determine the wall thickness of the tube body material of flexible aluminium tubes. It applies to tubes used for packaging pharmaceutical, cosmetic, hygiene, food and other domestic and industrial products. The method is intended for quality control, compliance verification and batch acceptance testing.

  • Reference to EN 12375:2009 and any sampling/acceptance specification.

  • Measurement results, positions and number of measurements.
  • Number of results outside limits defined in EN 13046 / EN 13047.
  • Acceptance/refusal decision, influencing factors, date, place and tester name.
