Adhesives - Determination of shear strength of adhesive bonds between rigid substrates by the block-shear method (ISO 13445:2003)

This International Standard specifies a method for the determination of the shear strength of adhesives used to bond materials with elastic module higher than the elastic modulus of the adhesive. The method provides an estimate of the shear strength of an adhesive on various machinable and non-machinable substrate materials.

Diese Internationale Norm legt ein Verfahren für die Bestimmung der Scherfestigkeit von Klebstoffen fest, die
zum Kleben von Werkstoffen benutzt werden, deren Elastizitätsmoduln größer sind als der Elastizitätsmodul
des Klebstoffs. Dieses Verfahren erlaubt es, die Scherfestigkeit von Klebstoffen auf verschiedenen spanend
oder nur nichtspanend bearbeitbaren Werkstoffen zu erfassen.

L'ISO 13445:2003 spécifie une méthode de détermination de la résistance au cisaillement d'adhésifs utilisés pour coller des matériaux ayant un module d'élasticité supérieur à celui de l'adhésif. Cette méthode fournit une estimation de la résistance au cisaillement de l'adhésif sur différents matériaux usinables ou non.

Foreword



The text of ISO 13445:2003 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 61 "Plastics” of
the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been taken over as EN ISO
13445:2006 by Technical Committee CEN/TC 193 "Adhesives", the secretariat of which is held
by AENOR.

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of
an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by December 2006, and conflicting national
standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by December 2006.

According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of
the following countries are bound to implement this European Standard: Austria, Belgium,
Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary,
