Plastics - Generic identification and marking of plastics products (ISO 11469:2016)

This International Standard specifies a system of uniform marking of products that have been
fabricated from plastics materials. Provision for the process or processes to be used for marking is
outside the scope of this International Standard.
NOTE 1 Precise details of the marking, e.g. the minimum size of the item to be marked, the size of the lettering,
the appropriate location of the marking, are subject to agreement between the manufacturer and the user.
The marking system is intended to help identify plastics products for subsequent decisions concerning
handling, waste recovery or disposal.
Generic identification of the plastics is provided by the symbols and abbreviated terms given in
ISO 1043-1, ISO 1043-2, ISO 1043-3 and ISO 1043-4.
NOTE 2 If more detailed information for material identification is needed, additional marking of plastics
products can be applied as defined in the appropriate product standard.
This International Standard is not intended to supplant, replace or in any way interfere with the
requirements for labelling specified in product standards or legislation.

Kunststoffe - Sortenspezifische Identifizierung und Kennzeichnung von Kunststoff-Formteilen (ISO 11469:2016)

1.1   Diese Internationale Norm legt ein System zur einheitlichen Kennzeichnung von Formteilen fest, die aus Kunststoffen hergestellt wurden. Maßnahmen bei der Durchführung des Kennzeichnungsvorgangs sind nicht Gegenstand dieser Norm.
ANMERKUNG   Genaue Einzelheiten der Kennzeichnung, z. B. Mindestgröße des zu kennzeichnenden Gegenstandes, Größe der Beschriftung, die geeignete Anbringung der Kennzeichnung, dürfen durch Ver¬ein¬barung zwischen Hersteller und Anwender festgelegt werden.
1.2   Das Kennzeichnungssystem soll die Identifizierung von Kunststoff-Formteilen zum Zweck der Hand¬ha-bung, der Rückgewinnung oder der Entsorgung unterstützen.
1.3   Die angewendeten Kennbuchstaben und Kurzzeichen sollen eine sortenspezifische Identifizierung der Kunst¬stoffe nach ISO 1043, Teile 1 bis 4, ermöglichen.
ANMERKUNG   Sofern weitere Informationen zur Materialidentifizierung erforderlich sind, können weitere ge¬eig¬nete Kennzeichnungen auf den Kunststoff-Formteilen angebracht werden, wie in der einschlägigen Produkt¬norm festgelegt.
1.4   Diese Internationale Norm sieht nicht vor, gesetzgeberische oder anderweitige genormte Anforderungen an die Beschriftung zu verdrängen, zu ersetzen oder zu beeinträchtigen.

ISO 11469:2016 prescrit un système de marquage uniforme des produits qui été fabriqués à partir de matières plastiques. Les dispositions pour le (ou les) procédé(s) de marquage sont en dehors du domaine d'application de la présente Norme internationale.
NOTE 1       Les caractéristiques précises du marquage, par exemple les dimensions minimales de l'article devant faire l'objet du marquage, les dimensions du lettrage et l'emplacement approprié auquel apposer le marquage, font l'objet d'un accord entre le fabricant et l'utilisateur.
Le système de marquage est destiné à faciliter l'identification des produits en matière plastique dans l'optique de décisions à prendre ultérieurement en ce qui concerne leur manutention, leur valorisation en tant que déchets ou leur élimination.
L'identification générique des plastiques est constituée par les symboles et les termes abrégés donnés dans l'ISO 1043‑1, l'ISO 1043‑2, l'ISO 1043‑3 et l'ISO 1043‑4.
NOTE 2       Si l'on a besoin d'informations plus détaillées pour l'identification de la matière, on peut appliquer un marquage complémentaire sur le produit en matière plastique, conformément aux normes de produit pertinentes.
ISO 11469:2016 n'a pas pour objectif de supplanter, de remplacer, ou d'interférer, de quelque manière que ce soit, avec les exigences relatives à l'étiquetage spécifiées dans les normes produit ou les législations.

Polimerni materiali - Splošna identifikacija in označevanje polimernih proizvodov (ISO 11469:2016)

Ta mednarodni standard določa sistem za enotno označevanje proizvodov, ki so izdelani iz polimernih materialov. Določbe za proces ali procese, ki se uporabljajo za označevanje, so zunaj področja uporabe tega mednarodnega standarda.
OPOMBA 1: Natančne podrobnosti označevanja, npr. najmanjša velikost elementa za označevanje, velikost pisave, ustrezno mesto oznake, so odvisne od dogovora med proizvajalcem in uporabnikom.
Sistem za označevanje je namenjen pomoči pri prepoznavanju plastičnih proizvodov za poznejše odločitve glede ravnanja, predelave ali odlaganja odpadkov.
Splošno identifikacijo polimernih materialov zagotavljajo simboli in okrajšave, podani v standardih ISO 1043-1, ISO 1043-2, ISO 1043-3 in ISO 1043-4.
OPOMBA 2: Če so potrebne podrobnejše informacije za identifikacijo materiala, se lahko uporabi dodatno označevanje polimernih proizvodov, kot je opredeljeno v standardu za ustrezne proizvode.
Ta mednarodni standard ni namenjen, da izpodrine, nadomesti ali kakor koli vpliva na zahteve za označevanje, opredeljene v standardih za proizvode ali zakonodaji.

This document (EN ISO 11469:2016) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 61 “Plastics”
in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 249 “Plastics” the secretariat of which is held by
NBN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by April 2017, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by April 2017.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of

Dieser Europäische Norm-Entwurf wird den CEN-Mitgliedern zur parallelen Umfrage vorgelegt. Er wurde vom Technischen Komitee
CEN/TC 249 erstellt.

Wenn aus diesem Norm-Entwurf eine Europäische Norm wird, sind die CEN-Mitglieder gehalten, die CEN-Geschäftsordnung zu erfüllen, in

1 Anwendungsbereich
1.1 Diese Internationale Norm legt ein System zur einheitlichen Kennzeichnung von Formteilen fest, die
aus Kunststoffen hergestellt wurden. Maßnahmen bei der Durchführung des Kennzeichnungsvorgangs sind
