Bituminous mixtures - Test methods for hot mix asphalt - Part 41: Resistance to de-icing fluids

EN 12697-41 specifies a test method to determine the resistance of bituminous materials to de-icing fluids such as solutions of acetate and formate. The procedure determines the surface tensile strength of a specimen of asphalt which has been stored in de-icing fluid. This European Standard is primarily used as a test on asphalt to be laid on airfields, but it can be used for asphalt to be laid on roads or other paved areas.

Diese Europäische Norm legt ein Prüfverfahren zur Bestimmung des Widerstands von Asphalt gegen chemi-sche Auftaumittel, z. B. Acetat- und Formiat-Lösungen, fest. Das Verfahren bestimmt die Oberflächen-zugfestigkeit eines Asphaltprobekörpers nach der Lagerung in chemischem Auftaumittel.
Diese Europäische Norm wird hauptsächlich zur Prüfung von Asphalt angewendet, der auf Flugplätzen eingebaut werden soll, sie kann jedoch auch auf Asphalt angewendet werden, der zum Einbau auf Straßen oder anderen befestigten Flächen bestimmt ist.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie une méthode d’essai permettant de déterminer la résistance de matériaux bitumineux à des fluides de déverglaçage tels que des solutions d’acétate et de formiate. Le mode opératoire permet de déterminer la résistance à la traction d’une éprouvette d'enrobé, après conservation dans un fluide de déverglaçage.
La présente Norme européenne est destinée à être utilisée principalement pour des essais sur des enrobés mis en œuvre sur des aérodromes, mais elle peut être utilisée également pour des enrobés mis en œuvre sur des chaussées routières ou d'autres surfaces revêtues.
