Railway applications - Track - Test methods for fastening systems - Part 5: Determination of electrical resistance

This part of EN 13146 specifies a laboratory test procedure for determining the electrical resistance, in wet conditions, between the running rails provided by a fastening system fitted to a steel or concrete sleeper, bearer or element of slab track.
This test procedure applies to a complete fastening assembly. It is relevant to signaling currents, not to traction currents.

Diese Europäische Norm legt ein Laborprüfverfahren zur Bestimmung des elektrischen Widerstands eines Befestigungssystems bei Nässe zwischen den Fahrschienen fest. Dieses Befestigungssystem ist auf Gleis- bzw. Weichenschwellen aus Stahl oder Beton oder auf einem Stück fester Fahrbahn befestigt. Diese ist ebenfalls für eingebettete Schienen anwendbar. Dieses Prüfverfahren gilt für ein komplettes Schienenbefestigungssystem. Dies ist maßgeblich für den Strom bei der Signalgebung, jedoch nicht für den Fahrstrom. Ein Referenzverfahren und ein alternatives Verfahren sind inbegriffen.

La présente Norme européenne prescrit un mode opératoire d'essai en laboratoire visant à déterminer la résistance électrique, assurée par un système de fixation sur une traverse en acier ou en béton, un support ou un élément de voie sur dalle dans des conditions humides, entre les deux rails.
Cette méthode d’essai s’applique à un ensemble de fixation complet. Elle s'applique aux courants de signalisation, mais pas aux courants de traction.

Ta evropski standard določa laboratorijski preskusni postopek za ugotavljanje električne upornosti v vlažnih razmerah med tirnicami, ki je posledica pritrdilnega sistema, pritrjenega na jekleni ali betonski prag, nosilno ogrodje ali tirni element. Uporablja se tudi za vgrajene tirnice. Ta preskusni postopek se uporablja za celoten pritrdilni sestav. Nanaša se na signalne tokove, ne na tokove za vleko. Vključena sta referenčni in nadomestni postopek.

EN 13146-5:2012 (E) 3 Foreword This document (EN 13146-5:2012) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 256 "Railway applications ", the secretariat of which is held by DIN. This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by October 2012, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by October 2012. Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights. CEN [and/or CENELEC] shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights. This document supersedes EN 13146-5:2002. This document has been prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European Commission and the European Free Trade Association. The main changes in this revision are as follows: a) reference and alternative methods are now included; b) the conductivity of the water used in the test is limited; c) conditioning of the test specimens; d) the correction factor for water conductivity is deleted. In consequence of these changes, the measured resistance may be significantly different from that obtained by the previous method.
