Oilseeds - Reduction of laboratory sample to test sample (ISO 664:2008)

This European Standard specifies the procedure for obtaining a test sample from a laboratory sample of oilseeds. NOTE Some contracts for the trading of oilseeds call for analyses of the sample as drawn, i.e. including any impurities that may be present. However, some contracts call for the preliminary quantitative separation of impurities and analysis of the pure seed separated. Analysis of the impurities may also be required.

Diese Internationale Norm legt ein Verfahren fest, mit dem aus einer Laboratoriumsprobe von Ölsamen eine Untersuchungsprobe hergestellt wird.
ANMERKUNG   Es gibt Handelsverträge für Ölsamen, die verlangen, dass die Probe so untersucht wird, wie sie entnommen wurde, d. h. einschließlich der möglicherweise vorhandenen Verunreinigungen. Andere Verträge fordern dagegen eine vorherige quantitative Abtrennung der Verunreinigungen und eine Untersuchung der gereinigten Samen. Außerdem kann eine Untersuchung der Verunreinigungen gefordert werden.

This document (EN ISO 664:2008) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 34 "Agricultural food
products" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 307 “Oilseeds, vegetable and animal fats and
oils and their by-products - Methods of sampling and analysis” the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by December 2008, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn
at the latest by December 2008.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent
rights. CEN [and/or CENELEC] shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN ISO 664:1995.
