This test method describes the principles applicable to infrared transmission spectrophotometric analysis of organic compounds (elastomers, basic resins, resin mixes or resin systems) used as the matrix in reinforced polymers, adhesives, bonding primers and, in general terms, all organic compounds.
The method could also be applied to some inorganic products.
It is intended to be used jointly with special test conditions specified in the materials specification invoking the test.
This document does not give any directions necessary to meet the health and safety requirements. It is the responsibility of the user of this document to adopt appropriate health and safety precautions.

This document specifies the sampling plan for acceptance testing of aramid, carbon fibre and textile glass filament yarns in terms of sample size and rejection criteria.

to define a common vocabulary on the imperfections and damage that may occur during the
manufacture of organic matrix composite materials (which will be called “resin” in this document).
Some types of damage may also be encountered in use.
This document is restricted to their definitions and does not give any acceptance criteria. The word
“imperfection” will be preferred to the word “defect”, although the word “defect” might be usually used.
Defect acceptance criteria to be discussed between the user and customer and documented
appropriately between the two parties.

This European Standard defines the test method for determining the bond strength of structural foaming adhesive films or pastes by means of the tube test method.
This test method is suitable for determining bond strength in relation to the density after curing of the adhesive foam by means of compressive tube shear specimens.
It preferably applies to high expansion ratios, i.e.  50 % measured according to the method EN 2667-3.

This European Standard defines a method for the determination of stress at failure and Young's modulus in compression of carbon thermosetting resin unidirectional laminates.
The method only covers test pieces the axis of which is parallel to the fibre direction.
This method covers fibres (or fabrics) other than carbon, when the relevant technical specification explicitly mentions it.

This European Standard defines the requirements for manufacture, qualification, inspection and testing of products in structural adhesive systems where the adhesive is supplied in the form of a paste, either a one part or two part system, for aerospace applications. The adhesive may be used in conjunction with a primer whose requirements are also included in this European Standard. It is applicable whenever referenced on a material standard.
