This document specifies the dimensions (in millimetres), nominal initial forces and types of gas springs. It is applicable to gas springs with increased spring force and compact built height of type 1 700 to 200 000, pressurized with nitrogen with a nominal initial force of between 1 700 N (with a tolerance of ±5 %) and 200 000 N (with a tolerance of ±5 %), for use in press tools. It also specifies marking, technical delivery conditions and designation. NOTE Specifications of mounting accessories for gas springs are given in ISO 11901‑2.

This document specifies the dimensions (in millimetres), nominal initial forces and types of gas springs. It is applicable to gas springs with increased spring force and same built height of type 7 500 to 200 000, pressurized with nitrogen with a nominal initial force of between 7 400 N (with a tolerance of ±5 %) and 200 000 N (with a tolerance of ±5 %), for use in press tools. It also specifies marking, technical delivery conditions and designation. NOTE Specifications of mounting accessories for gas springs are given in ISO 11901‑2.

This document specifies the basic dimensions, in millimetres, of headed angle pins (type A), straight angle pins (type B), angle pins mounted with external thread (type C) and angle pins mounted with hexagon socket head cap screw (type D), intended for use in diecasting dies and tools for moulding. It also specifies the material hardness and designation of the angle pins (types A, B, C and D).

This document describes the safety requirements for gas springs in accordance with ISO 11901-1, ISO 11901-3 and ISO 11901-4 intended for use in press tool and their correct installation instructions. The instructions and operating conditions described in Annex A help to maximise lifetime and ensure the safe operation of nitrogen gas springs.

This document establishes the technical specifications for compression springs made from rectangular wires. The parameters set in this document are applicable to springs which are set. This document does not attempt to specify the quality of the springs themselves, nor all of their dimensions (e.g. cross-section), their material or their length of life. The springs are classified into spring rates: light, medium, strong and extra strong. For each spring rate, this document gives a colour code.

This document applies to spring plungers which are used in tool manufacture for separating the tool and the sheet-metal part after stamping or forming operations. It also gives information concerning their use and installation example of spring plungers steel spring or gas spring.

ISO 16916:2016 defines the description and specification of injection moulds to be used when requesting tools (stage of tender) and ordering tools. This International Standard gives data for material acquisition, equipment, structural design of injection moulds including the surfaces of the tool. Information relating to machine-specific data, types of operation and warranty is also contained in this specification sheet. ISO 16916:2016 does not apply to compression moulds and die casting dies.

ISO 9448-5:2013 specifies the main dimensions and tolerances, in millimetres, of guide bushes of form D, headed ball cage bushes, type 1, intended for use in press tools and to be mounted in the clamp plate with transition fit and fixed to the plate by means of screws. It gives guidance on the materials, and specifies the hardness and the designation of bushes in accordance with ISO 9448-5:2013.

ISO 9448-9:2013 specifies the main dimensions and tolerances, in millimetres, of guide bushes of form B, plain ball cage bushes, type 2, intended for use in press tools and to be mounted in the clamp plate by means of interference fit. It gives guidance on the materials, and specifies the hardness and the designation of bushes in accordance with ISO 9448-9:2013.

ISO 9448-10:2013 specifies the main dimensions and tolerances, in millimetres, of guide bushes of form E, flanged gliding bushes, type 2, intended for use in press tools with guide pillars with a tolerance on d1 of g6 according to ISO 9182-3, and to be mounted in the clamp plate with transition fit and fixed to the plate by means of guide clamps. It gives guidance on the materials, and specifies the hardness and the designation of bushes in accordance with ISO 9448-10:2013.

ISO 9448-3:2013 specifies the main dimensions and tolerances, in millimetres, of guide bushes of form B, plain ball cage bushes, type 1, intended for use in press tools and to be mounted in the clamp plate by means of interference fit. It gives guidance on the materials, and specifies the hardness and the designation of bushes in accordance with ISO 9448-3:2013.

ISO 9182-2;2013 specifies the dimensions and tolerances, in millimetres, of guide pillars, type A, intended for use in press tools. These guide pillars can be straight, type A1, or straight with end-locking and locking ring, type A2. It gives guidance on the materials and specifies the hardness and the designation of guide pillars which meet its requirements.

ISO 9448-11:2013 specifies the main dimensions and tolerances, in millimetres, of guide bushes of form F, flanged ball cage bushes, type 2, intended for use in press tools and to be mounted in the clamp plate with transition fit and fixed to the plate by means of guide clamps. It gives guidance on the materials, and specifies the hardness and the designation of bushes in accordance with ISO 9448-11:2013.

ISO 9182-1:2013 illustrates four main types of guide pillars and their methods of mounting.

ISO 9448-4:2013 specifies the main dimensions and tolerances, in millimetres, of guide bushes of form C, headed gliding bushes, type 1, intended for use in press tools and to be mounted in the clamp plate with transition fit and fixed to the plate by means of screws. It gives guidance on the materials, and specifies the hardness and the designation of bushes in accordance with ISO 9448-4:2013.

ISO 9448-2:2013 specifies the main dimensions and tolerances, in millimetres, of guide bushes of form A, plain gliding bushes, type 1, intended for use in press tools and to be mounted in the clamp plate by means of interference fit. It gives guidance on the materials, and specifies the hardness and the designation of bushes in accordance with ISO 9448-2:2013.

ISO 9448-6:2013 specifies the main dimensions and tolerances, in millimetres, of guide bushes of form E, flanged gliding bushes, type 1, intended for use in press tools and to be mounted in the clamp plate with transition fit and fixed to the plate by means of guide clamps. It gives guidance on the materials, and specifies the hardness and the designation of bushes in accordance with ISO 9448-6:2013.

ISO 9448-8:2013 specifies the main dimensions and tolerances, in millimetres, of guide bushes of form G, stepped gliding bushes, type 1, intended for use in press tools and to be mounted in the clamp plate with interference fit over a certain length. The remaining portion of the length ensures the guiding. The bushes are provided with a clearance for lubrication. It gives guidance on the materials, and specifies the hardness and the designation of bushes in accordance with ISO 9448-8:2013.

ISO 9448-7:2013 specifies the main dimensions and tolerances, in millimetres, of guide bushes of form F, flanged ball cage bushes, type 1, intended for use in press tools and to be mounted in the clamp plate with transition fit and fixed to the plate by means of guide clamps. It gives guidance on the materials, and specifies the hardness and the designation of bushes in accordance with ISO 9448-7:2013.

ISO 9448-1:2013 establishes a classification and an identification of guide bushes for press tools. It covers seven main forms of guide bushes and their methods of mounting.

ISO 23480:2013 specifies the main dimensions and tolerances of sliding plates, to be used in press tools (an application example is shown). It also specifies the designation of sliding plates.

ISO 9183-2:2011 specifies the basic dimensions and tolerances, in millimetres, of wear plates, type B, intended for use mainly in large presses. lt also specifies the size and positions of the clearance holes for attachment. ISO 9183-2:2011 gives guidance on the materials and hardness, and specifies the designation of wear plates for press dies, type B, which meet the specified requirements.

ISO 18084:2011 specifies the main dimensions, tolerances and characteristics of punches and dies for all kinds of tablets. ISO 18084:2011 deals with measures which are relevant for the interchangeability of the press punches between the different tableting machines of various manufacturers.

ISO 10242-1:2011 specifies the interchangeability dimensions and tolerances, in millimetres, of punch holder shanks with neck and flats, type A, intended for use in press tools. ISO 10242-1:2011 gives guidance on the materials, and specifies the hardness and designation of punch holder shanks in accordance with the specified requirements.

ISO 8694:2011 specifies the dimensions and tolerances, in millimetres, of shouldered ejector pins with cylindrical head which are used in compression and injection moulds and in die casting dies. ISO 8694:2011 also gives material guidelines and hardness requirements, and specifies the designation of shouldered ejector pins.

ISO 6751:2011 specifies the dimensions and tolerances, in millimetres, of ejector pins with cylindrical head which are used in compression and injection moulds and in die casting dies. ISO 6751:2011 also gives material guidelines and hardness requirements, and specifies the designation of ejector pins with cylindrical head.

ISO 8693:2011 specifies the dimensions and tolerances, in millimetres, of flat ejector pins which are used in compression and injection moulds and in die casting dies. ISO 8693:2011 also gives material guidelines and hardness requirements, and specifies the designation of flat ejector pins.

ISO 28238:2010 specifies the characteristics of components of gating systems used in injection moulds for the processing of thermoplastics, thermosetting plastics and elastomers. These are gating systems for solidifying sprues for externally heated gating systems, internally heated gating systems and cold runner gating systems. The purpose of ISO 28238:2010 is to establish coherent terms for the different gating systems in professional terminology.

ISO 10071-1:2008 specifies interchangeability dimensions and tolerances, in millimetres, for ball-lock punches for light duty. It is applicable to ball-lock punches with shank diameter sizes from 6 mm up to and including 32 mm, in round, square, rectangular and oblong shapes, for punching holes in steel sheets or other materials, the thickness of which is less than 3 mm. ISO 10071-1:2008 also gives examples related to materials and hardness, and specifies the designation of ball-lock punches for light duty.

ISO 8406:2008 specifies the basic dimensions, in millimetres, of round locating elements and spacers, intended for use in moulds for the accurate location of two mould parts with respect to each other. It also specifies the material, hardness and designation of the locating elements and their spacers that are in accordance with its specifications.

ISO 11900-2:2008 specifies the dimensions and their tolerances, in millimetres, of reduced ball-lock punch retainers, type C and type D, for light duty, and of their backing plug, the main use of which is the retention of ball-lock punches in accordance with ISO 10071-1, when punching holes in steel sheets. It also gives material guidelines, and specifies the hardness and designation of ball-lock punch retainers that are in accordance with its specifications.

ISO 10907-1:2008 specifies the basic dimensions and tolerances, in millimetres, of locating rings for mounting of moulds (see Figure 1) without thermal insulating sheets, suitable for injection moulding machines up to size E12 (according to EUROMAP 2), type A (with bore) and type B (without bore). It also gives material guidelines and hardness requirements, and specifies the designation of locating rings that are in accordance with its specifications.

ISO 11903:2008 specifies the dimensions and their tolerances, in millimetres, of guide pillar mountings intended for mounting with or without guide bush. It also specifies material, and the designation of guide pillar mountings that are in accordance with its specifications.

ISO 10242-3:2008 specifies the interchangeability dimensions and tolerances, in millimetres, of punch holder shanks type D, intended for use in press tools. It gives guidance on the materials, and specifies the hardness and designation of the punch holder shanks.

ISO 10242-2:2008 specifies the interchangeability dimensions and tolerances, in millimetres, of punch holder shanks type C, intended for use in press tools. It gives guidance on the materials, and specifies the hardness and designation of the punch holder shanks.

ISO 10073:2008 specifies the dimensions and tolerances, in millimetres, for support pillars intended for use in pressure die-cast dies and in plastics and rubber moulds. It covers materials and hardness, and specifies the designation of support pillars which meet its requirements.

ISO 10069-2:2008 specifies the dimensions, in millimetres, of spring collars and pilot pins intended for use in press tools together with elastomer pressure springs in accordance with ISO 10069-1. ISO 10069-2:2008 also gives information concerning materials and their hardness, and specifies the designation of the spring collars and pilot pins that are in accordance with its requirements.

ISO 10069-1:2008 specifies the dimensions, in millimetres, of elastomer pressure springs intended for use in press tools, and the diameters, in millimetres, of counterbores for these pressure springs. It also gives information concerning materials and their hardness, and specifies the designation of springs that are in accordance with its requirements, together with the marking of their packages. Examples of suitable applications are given in Annex A. Dimensions of accessories (spring collars and pilot pins) are specified in ISO 10069-2.

ISO 6752:2008 specifies the basic dimensions, in millimetres, of round punches with 60° conical head and straight shank in the diameter range of 0,5 mm to 20 mm. It gives example material and hardness values, and specifies the designation of the punches, whose main use is punching holes in steel sheet but that can also be used on other materials.

ISO 9183-1:2007 specifies the basic dimensions and tolerances in millimetres of wear for press dies, type A, intended for use mainly in large press dies. It also specifies the size and positions of the clearance holes for attachment. ISO 9183-1:2007 gives material indications, and specifies the designation of wear plates for press dies, type A, which meet the requirements of this part of ISO 9183. Two thicknesses of this type of wear plate are specified: type A1, with a thickness, t, of 20 mm, and type A2, with a thickness, t, of 12 mm.

ISO 16366:2008 specifies the main dimensions and tolerances of L-shaped guiding bars, to be used in press tools. It also specifies the designation of L-shaped guiding bars.
