97/17/EC - Commission Directive 97/17/EC of 16 April 1997 implementing Council Directive 92/75/EEC with regard to energy labelling of household dishwashers

This Technical Report provides a methodology for approval of NDT personnel under the provisions of Directive 97/23/EC, Annex 1, section 3.1.3.
The provisions of Guideline 6/13 are detailed herein to ensure a consistent approach and a high level of confidence in the approval of NDT personnel by RTPO’s through widespread adoption of the criteria and approval processes detailed herein. A flow diagram illustrating this methodology is presented in Annex A.

This European Standard applies to electric dishwashers for household use that are supplied with hot and/or cold water. The object is to state and define the principal performance characteristics of electric dishwashers for household use and to describe the standard methods of measuring these characteristics. This standard is concerned neither with safety nor with performance requirements.

New implementation dates

This standard is applicable to electric dishwashers for household use that are intended to be supplied with cold water and incorporate an electrical heating system. It is not applicable to dishwashers supplied with hot water or hot and cold water. It is applicable to dishwashers intended to be supplied by hot or cold water when supplied with cold water only. This standard is concerned neither with safety nor with performance requirements. Safety aspects for electric household dishwashers are dealt with by EN 60335-2-5
