This European Standard specifies requirements and test methods for locking devices fitted by consumers in a domestic environment for cupboards and drawers for restricting access by young children.
NOTE Child resistant locking devices only intended to be installed by professionals or that are an integral part of the cupboard and drawer system are beyond the scope of this standard.

Diese Europäische Norm legt Anforderungen und Prüfverfahren für Verriegelungsvorrichtungen fest, die von Verbrauchern in einer häuslichen Umgebung an Schränken und Schubladen angebracht werden, um den Zugang von Kleinkindern zu Schränken und Schubladen zu verhindern.
ANMERKUNG Kindergesicherte Verriegelungsvorrichtungen, die ausschließlich dafür vorgesehen sind, von Fach-betrieben eingebaut zu werden, oder die ein integraler Bestandteil des Schrank- und Schubladensystems sind, liegen außerhalb des Anwendungsbereichs dieser Norm.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les exigences et les méthodes d’essai relatives aux dispositifs de verrouillage à monter soi-même dans un environnement domestique comportant des armoires et des tiroirs pour en empêcher l'accès aux jeunes enfants.
NOTE Les dispositifs de verrouillage à l’épreuve des enfants destinés à être installés uniquement par des professionnels, ou faisant partie intégrante du système de l'armoire ou de tiroirs, n'entrent pas dans le champ d'application de la présente norme.
