Bitumen and bituminous binders - Determination of dynamic viscosity of modified bitumen by cone and plate method
This European Standard specifies a method for determining the dynamic viscosity of a modified bituminous binder over a range of temperatures by means of a cone and plate viscometer. Although the method has been developed for modified binders, it is also suitable for other bituminous binders.
NOTE Unlike penetration grade bitumen, polymer modified bitumens (PMBs) may not show a straight line on the Heukelom-Diagram. This implies that in order to obtain information about the temperature susceptibility of PMBs, viscosity should be measured at different temperatures.

Diese Europäische Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung der dynamischen Viskosität eines modifizierten
bitumenhaltigen Bindemittels mit einem Platte-Kegel-Viskosimeter über einen Temperaturbereich fest. Obwohl
das Verfahren für modifizierte Bindemittel entwickelt wurde, ist es auch für andere bitumenhaltige Bindemittel
geeignet.
ANMERKUNG Anders als Penetrationsbitumen kann es sein, dass polymermodifizierte Bitumen (PmB) keine gerade
Linie im Heukelom-Diagramm aufweisen. Das bedeutet, dass die Viskosität, um Angaben über die Temperaturabhängigkeit
von PmB zu erhalten, bei verschiedenen Temperaturen gemessen werden sollte.

La présente norme européenne prescrit une méthode permettant de déterminer la viscosité dynamique d‘un liant
bitumineux modifié sur une plage de températures, au moyen d'un viscosimètre à cône et plateau. Bien que la
méthode ait été développée pour les liants modifiés, elle est également applicable pour d’autres liants bitumineux.
NOTE Contrairement aux bitumes purs spécifiés par la pénétrabilité, les bitumes modifiés par des polymères (BMP)
peuvent ne pas décrire une ligne droite sur le diagramme de Heukelom. En conséquence, pour obtenir des informations sur la
susceptibilité à la température des BMP, il est recommandé de mesurer leur viscosité à différentes températures.

Ta evropski standard določa metodo za določevanje dinamične viskoznosti modificiranih bitumnov z razponom temperatur z metodo z konusom in ploščo. Čeprav je bila metoda razvita za modificirana veziva, je prav tako primerna za druga bitumenska veziva.
