Specification and qualification of welding procedures for metallic materials - Qualification based on tested welding consumables (ISO 15610:2003)
ISO 15610:2003 gives the necessary information to explain the requirements referenced in ISO 15607 concerning the qualification of welding procedures based on tested consumables. In addition, it gives the range of qualification.
ISO 15610:2003 applies to arc and gas welding but other fusion welding processes may be accepted if specified.
It is limited to application to parent metals that produce acceptable micro structures and properties in the heat affected zone and which do not deteriorate significantly in service.
This International Standard is not applicable where requirements for hardness or impact properties, preheating, controlled heat input, interpass temperature and post-weld heat-treatment are specified for the welded joint.
The use of ISO 15610.2003 may also be restricted by an application standard or a specification.

La présente Norme européenne fait partie d'une série de normes, des détails sur cette série sont donnés dans l'Annexe A de l'EN ISO 15607:2003.
La présente norme donne les informations nécessaires pour expliquer les exigences référencées dans l'EN ISO 15607:2003 pour la qualification de modes opératoires de soudage basée sur des produits consommables soumis à essais.
De plus, elle donne le domaine de validité de la qualification.
La présente Norme européenne s'applique au soudage à l'arc et aux gaz conformément au Tableau 1.

NOTE X indique le procédé pour lequel l'EN ISO 15610 est applicable et - indique le procédé pour lequel la norme n'est pas applicable.
D'autres procédés de soudage par fusion peuvent être acceptés si spécifié.
La présente norme est limitée à l'application aux métaux de base qui produisent des micro-structures acceptables et des propriétés dans la zone affectée thermiquement qui ne se dégradent pas de façon significative en service.
