Dieses Dokument legt ein Prüfverfahren zur Bestimmung der Dauerbiegefestigkeit von mit Kautschuk oder Kunst¬stoff beschichteten Textilien in gefaltetem Zustand fest. Das Verfahren ist nur für solche Erzeugnisse geeignet, die ohne Zwang in das Prüfgerät eingespannt werden können und für Erzeugnisse, bei denen die Falte des Probekörpers während des Versuchs auf- und abläuft.
Das Aussehen der Probekörper nach Beendigung entweder der Faltzahl (siehe 3.1) oder der vereinbarten Anzahl von Faltbeanspruchungen gilt als Maß für die Dauerbiegefestigkeit in gefaltetem Zustand.

La méthode d'essai s'applique uniquement aux produits qui peuvent être fixés dans l'appareillage d'essai utilisé et aux produits avec lesquels le pli formé sur l'éprouvette peut être entraîné dans un déplacement d'avant en arrière le long de l'éprouvette pendant l'essai.
L'aspect de l'éprouvette, après avoir effectué soit le nombre de flexions (voir 3.1) soit un nombre spécifié de cycles de flexion, est considéré comme la mesure de la résistance à la flexion, à l'état plié.

EN ISO 32100:2018 - Rubber- or plastics-coated fabrics: Determination of flex resistance by the flexometer method is a CEN-endorsed international standard that specifies a laboratory test to assess the flex resistance of rubber- or plastics-coated textiles in the folded condition. The method measures how repeated folding (flex cycles) affects the appearance of a coated fabric specimen; the visual condition after a defined flex number or after a specified number of cycles is used as the performance indicator.
This standard applies only to products that can be clamped in the test apparatus and where the fold can be made to run back and forth along the specimen during testing. EN ISO 32100:2018 updates the 2010 edition and is intended for use in quality control, product development and conformity assessment.

- Procedure and assessment: Periodic visual examination (with magnifier) after the agreed flex number or after specified cycles. The appearance (cracking, delamination, etc.) is recorded as the measure of flex resistance.
- Reporting: Test parameters, specimen orientation, condition, flex number/cycles and observed damage are required in the test report.
