ISO 19432:2012 specifies safety requirements and measures for their verification for the design and construction of portable, hand-held, internal combustion engine driven, cut-off machines, intended to be used by a single operator in the cutting of construction materials, such as asphalt, concrete, stone and metal. It is applicable only to those machines designed purposely for use with a rotating, bonded-abrasive and/or super-abrasive (diamond) cut-off wheel having a maximum outer diameter of 430 mm, centre-mounted on, and driven by, a spindle shaft, where the top of the wheel rotates away from the operator.
ISO 19432:2012 deals with all significant hazards, hazardous situations or hazardous events significant to these machines when they are used as intended and under conditions of misuse which are reasonably foreseeable by the manufacturer.
ISO 19432:2012 specifies methods for the elimination or reduction of hazards arising from their use, as well as the type of information on safe working practices to be provided with the machines.
Cut-off wheel specifications are not considered in ISO 19432:2012; for such specifications, see, for example, ISO 603-7, ISO 13942 and ISO 22917.
ISO 19432:2012 is not applicable to machines manufactured before the date of its publication.

Baumaschinen und -ausrüstungen - Tragbare, handgeführte Trennschleifmaschinen mit Verbrennungsmotor - Sicherheitsanforderungen (ISO 19432:2012)

Diese Internationale Norm legt Sicherheitsanforderungen und Maßnahmen für die Prüfung der konstruktiven Gestaltung und des konstruktiven Aufbaus von tragbaren, handgeführten Trennschleifmaschinen mit eingebautem Verbrennungsmotor für Einmannbetrieb fest, die zum Schneiden von Baumaterialien, wie z. B. Asphalt, Beton, Stein und Metall, bestimmt sind. Sie gilt nur für solche Trennschleifmaschinen, die bestimmungsgemäß für den Einsatz mit einer rotierenden Trennschleifscheibe mit einem maximalen Außendurchmesser von 430 mm und mit Trennschleifkörpern aus gebundenen Schleifmitteln und/oder Schleifwerkzeugen mit Diamant- und CBN-Schleifmitteln vorgesehen sind, die mittig auf einer Spindelwelle montiert sind und von dieser angetrieben werden, wobei sich die Stirnseite der Trennschleifscheibe in einer vom Anwender abgewandten Richtung dreht (siehe Bild 1).
Diese Internationale Norm behandelt alle signifikanten Gefährdungen, Gefährdungssituationen oder Gefährdungsereignisse, die auf diese Maschinen zutreffen, wenn sie bestimmungsgemäß und unter den vernünftigerweise vom Hersteller vorhersehbaren Bedingungen des Missbrauchs verwendet werden. (Siehe Anhang F für eine Liste der signifikanten Gefährdungen).
Diese Internationale Norm legt Verfahren für die Beseitigung oder Verminderung von Gefährdungen, die sich aus deren Anwendung ergeben, sowie die Art von Informationen über sichere Arbeitsabläufe fest, die mit der Maschine bereitzustellen sind.
Spezifikationen für Trennschleifscheiben werden in dieser Internationalen Norm nicht behandelt; für solche Spezifikationen siehe z. B. ISO 603-7 [1], ISO 13942 [12] und ISO 22917 [15].
Diese Internationale Norm gilt nicht für Maschinen, die vor dem Veröffentlichungsdatum dieses Dokuments hergestellt wurden.

L'ISO 19432:2012 spécifie les exigences de sécurité, et les mesures de vérification, pour la conception et la fabrication de tronçonneuses à disque, portatives, à moteur à combustion interne, conçues pour être utilisées par un seul opérateur, pour couper des matériaux de construction, tels que l'asphalte, le béton, les pierres et le métal. Elle est applicable uniquement aux tronçonneuses spécifiquement conçues pour l'utilisation de meules à tronçonner, composées de particules abrasives agglomérées et/ou de particules de diamant ou de CBN, d'un diamètre extérieur maximal de 430 mm, dont la partie supérieure tourne loin de l'opérateur, et qui présentent un montage central sur un arbre et sont entraînées par cet arbre.
L'ISO 19432:2012 traite de tous les phénomènes, situations et événements dangereux significatifs spécifiques de ces machines lorsque celles-ci sont utilisées dans les conditions prévues et dans des conditions de mauvais usage raisonnablement prévisibles par le constructeur.
L'ISO 19432:2012 spécifie les méthodes d'élimination ou de réduction des phénomènes dangereux résultant de leur utilisation ainsi que les informations relatives aux recommandations d'utilisation à fournir avec la machine.
Les spécifications relatives aux meules à tronçonner ne sont pas prises en considération dans l'ISO 19432:2012; pour de telles spécifications, voir par exemple l'ISO 603-7, l'ISO 13942 et l'ISO 22917.
L'ISO 19432:2012 n'est pas applicable aux machines fabriquées avant sa date de publication.

Ta mednarodni standard določa varnostne zahteve in njihovo preverjanje za načrtovanje in gradnjo prenosnih ročnih rezalnikov z motorjem z notranjim izgorevanjem, ki jih lahko uporablja ena oseba za rezanje gradbenih materialov, kot so asfalt, beton, kamen in kovina. Uporablja se za rezalnike, ki so bili oblikovani posebej za uporabo z vrtljivimi, vezanimi brusilnimi in/ali močno brusilnimi (diamantnimi) rezalnimi ploščami z zunanjim premerom do 406 mm, ki so nameščene na sredino vrtljive osi, ki jih poganja, vrh plošče pa se vrti stran od upravljavca (glej sliko 1). This document (EN ISO 19432:2012) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 195 "Building
construction machinery and equipment" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 151 “Construction
equipment and building material machines - Safety” the secretariat of which is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by January 2013, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at
the latest by January 2013.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent
rights. CEN [and/or CENELEC] shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN ISO 19432:2008.

This European Standard has been prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European Commission
and the European Free Trade Association to provide a means of conforming to Essential Requirements of the
New Approach Directive 2006/42/EC on machinery.
Once this standard is cited in the Official Journal of the European Union under that Directive and has been
implemented as a national standard in at least one Member State, compliance with the normative clauses of
this standard confers, within the limits of the scope of this standard, a presumption of conformity with the
relevant Essential Requirements of that Directive and associated EFTA regulations.
