Rubber- or plastics coated fabrics - Determination of flexibility

This standard specifies two methods for determination of the flexibility of fabrics coated with rubber or plastics. Method 1 of this standard describes the flat loop method and method 2 the method of bending length. This standard does not apply to coated fabrics which, when they are cut in small sized pieces, tend to curl or to form a spiral, neither to those which are too rigid to form a loop.

Diese europäische Norm beschreibt zwei Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Flexibilität von Textilien, die mit Kautschuk oder Kunststoffen beschichtet sind. Das Verfahren 1 in dieser Norm ist das Verfahren mit flacher Schlaufe, das Verfahren 2 ermittelt die Überhanglänge. La présente norme européenne spécifie deux méthodes pour caractériser la souplesse de supports textiles revêtus de caoutchouc ou de plastique. La méthode 1 décrit la méthode de la boucle plate et la méthode 2 la méthode de la longueur fléchie sous son poids. Cette norme ne s'applique pas aux supports textiles revêtus qui, lorsqu'ils sont découpés en pièces de faibles dimensions, ont tendance à s'enrouler ou à former une spirale, ni aux supports textiles revêtus qui sont trop rigides pour former une boucle.
