ISO 6383-1:2015 specifies a method of determining the tear resistance of plastic film or sheet less than 1 mm thick, in the form of standard trouser-shaped test specimens, tested under defined conditions of pre-treatment, temperature, humidity, and speed of testing.
The method is applicable to film and sheeting of both flexible and rigid materials, provided that the material is not so rigid that brittle fracture occurs during the test, or so deformable, in an irreversible way, that the energy used in the deformation of the specimen legs is significant (i.e. is not negligible) with respect to the energy used in tearing.
The method may not be suitable for determining the tear properties of cellular sheet and film.

Dieser Teil der ISO 6383 legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Reißfestigkeit von Kunststoff-Folien oder Bahnen in Dicken kleiner 1 mm in einer Rechteckform mit Längseinschnitt als genormte Probekörper fest, die unter bestimmten Bedingungen der Vorbehandlung, der Temperatur, der relativen Feuchte und der Prüf¬ge¬schwindigkeit geprüft werden.
Das Verfahren ist sowohl auf weich-elastische als auch harte Folien und Bahnenmaterialien anwendbar, vor¬aus¬gesetzt, das Material ist nicht so spröde, dass ein Bruch während der Prüfung eintritt, oder nicht so irreversibel verformbar, dass die Verformungsarbeit der Probenschenkel gegenüber der Weiterreißarbeit signifikant (d. h. nicht vernachlässigbar) wird.
Zur Bestimmung der Weiterreißeigenschaften von geschäumten Bahnen und Folien kann das Verfahren unpassend sein.

ISO 6383-1:2015 spécifie une méthode de détermination de la résistance au déchirement des films ou des feuilles de plastique d'épaisseur inférieure à 1 mm, en utilisant des éprouvettes normalisées en forme de pantalon, soumises à l'essai dans des conditions définies de traitement préalable, de température, d'humidité et de vitesse d'essai.
La méthode est applicable à la fois aux films et aux feuilles en matériaux souples et en matériaux rigides, à condition que les matériau ne soit pas tellement rigide pour que des ruptures du type fragile aient lieu pendant l'essai, ou tellement déformable de façon irréversible que l'énergie absorbée par la déformation des jambes de l'éprouvette soit appréciable (c'est-à-dire non, négligeable) par rpport à l'énergie absorbée par le déchirement.
La méthode peut ne pas être appropriée pour la détermination des caractéristiques de déchirement des feuilles et films cellulaires.

Ta del standarda ISO 6383 določa metodo za določanje odpornosti proti trganju plastičnih filmov ali folij z debelino manj kot 1 mm v obliki standardnih preskusnih vzorcev s hlačno epruveto, preskušanih v določenih pogojih predhodne obdelave, temperature, vlažnosti in hitrosti preskušanja.
Metoda se uporablja za filme in folije iz upogljivih in togih materialov, pri čemer material ne sme biti tako tog, da pri preskusu pride do lomljenja, ali tako upogljiv, da se ne povrne v prvotno stanje in je energija, uporabljena pri upogibanju vzorčnih nog, znatna (tj. ni neznatna) glede na energijo, uporabljeno pri trganju.
Metoda morda ni primerna za določanje lastnosti trganja penjenih folij in filmov.

This document (EN ISO 6383-1:2015) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 61 "Plastics"
in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 249 “Plastics” the secretariat of which is held by
NBN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by June 2016, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by June 2016.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN [and/or CENELEC] shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent
rights.
This document supersedes EN ISO 6383-1:2004.

Er wurde vom Technischen Komitee CEN/TC 249 erstellt.
Wenn aus diesem Norm-Entwurf eine Europäische Norm wird, sind die CEN-Mitglieder gehalten, die CEN-Geschäftsordnung zu erfüllen, in der die Bedingungen festgelegt sind, unter denen dieser Europäischen Norm ohne jede Änderung der Status einer nationalen Norm zu geben ist.
