Introduction
This document was revised with the target to increase the safety of starting platforms in a way to allow
operation not only for competitions. The focus was on general safety requirements for all types of
starting platforms in swimming pools for public use.
If starting platforms are to be used also for competitions, additional requirements (e.g. defined by
World Aquatics or national federations) should be taken into account.
