This document specifies a method for determining the tensile creep and creep rupture behaviour of geotextiles and geotextile-related products in an unconfined situation.
Application of this document is limited to products and applications where the risk of collapse of a structure due to premature failure or to strain and time variation of the reinforcement under constant load is of essential importance.

Die Anwendung dieses Dokuments ist auf Produkte und Anwendungen begrenzt, bei denen das Risiko eines Zusammenbruches eines Bauwerkes wegen frühzeitigen Versagens oder durch Verformung und Zeitvariation der Bewehrung unter konstanter Belastung von wesentlicher Bedeutung ist.

Le présent document décrit une méthode de détermination du comportement au fluage en traction et de la rupture au fluage en traction des géotextiles et produits apparentés sans confinement de l’éprouvette.
L’utilisation de cette norme est limitée aux produits et applications pour lesquels le risque d’effondrement d’une structure suite à une rupture prématurée ou à une variation de la courbe déformation/temps du renforcement sous charge constante est d’une importance capitale.

Ta dokument določa metodo za ugotavljanje obnašanja geotekstilij in geotekstilijam sorodnih izdelkov pri nateznem lezenju in pretrgu zaradi lezenja v razmerah brez omejitev.
Uporaba tega dokumenta je omejena na izdelke in načine uporabe, pri katerih je tveganje zrušitve konstrukcije zaradi prezgodnje okvare ali deformacij in časovnih sprememb ojačitve pod stalno obremenitvijo bistvenega pomena.

This document (EN ISO 13431:2024) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 221
"Geosynthetics" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 189 “Geosynthetics” the secretariat
of which is held by NBN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by February 2025, and conflicting national standards
shall be withdrawn at the latest by February 2025.
