Specifies the dimensions and tolerances of resistance spot welding electrode adaptors where the fixing element for the cap is a female taper (male electrode cap, see ISO 5830) and for which the electrode taper fits conform to ISO 1089. Covers also designation, material and marking.

The text of ISO 5829:1984 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 44 "Welding and allied
processes” of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been taken over as
of which is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by July 2021, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by July 2021.
