This part of EN 12877 describes a method for determining the colour stability of colouring materials in plastics under defined conditions by an oven test. Dieser Teil von EN 12877 beschreibt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Beständigkeit der Farbe von Farbmitteln in Kunststoffen durch Prüfung im Wärmeschrank unter definierten Bedingungen. Das Ergebnis der Bestimmung ist ein relativer und kein absoluter Wert. Das Verfahren wird haupsächlich zum Prüfen von Farbmitteln in Polyvinylchlorid und in duroplastischen Kunststoffen angewendet.

La présente partie de l'EN 12877 décrit une méthode servant à déterminer par étuvage la stabilité de la couleur des matières colorantes dans une matrice plastique soumise à l'essai dans des conditions données. Le résultat obtenu est une valeur relative et non une valeur absolue. Cette méthode est principalement utilisée pour soumettre à essai les matières colorantes dans le polychlorure de vinyle et dans les matières thermodurcissables.
