Abrasion resistance of protective clothing material - Test methods

This European Standard describes two test methods on abrasion resistance of materials using the same abrasion apparatus. The first method describes the determination of the abrasion resistance of protective clothing materials. The second method describes abrasion pre-treatment of these materials where the test specimens are used afterwards in other test methods or for evaluating the remaining protective properties.
The abradant is regarded to be a woven wool fabric for the purposes of this standard.
If other abradants (e.g. glass paper) are used, they should be specified in the requirement standard. Mounting instructions of special abradants should be described in requirement standards.
This European Standard is applicable as a reference standard on abrasion for standards and specifications on protective clothing textile materials.

Abriebfestigkeit von Material für Schutzkleidung - Prüfverfahren

Diese Europäische Norm beschreibt zwei Prüfverfahren zur Abriebfestigkeit von Materialien, bei denen das gleiche Gerät zur Anwendung kommt. Das erste Prüfverfahren beschreibt die Bestimmung der Abriebfestigkeit von Schutzkleidungsmaterial. Das zweite Prüfverfahren beschreibt die Vorbehandlung durch Abrieb dieser Materialien, bei denen die Prüfmuster nach der Vorbehandlung anderen Prüfverfahren unterzogen werden, oder bei denen die verbleibenden Schutzeigenschaften beurteilt werden.
Als Scheuermittel im Sinne dieser Norm wird ein Wollgewebe festgelegt.
Werden andere Scheuermittel (z. B. Glas-Schleifblätter) verwendet, so sollten diese in der entsprechenden Anforderungsnorm festgelegt werden. Festlegungen zur Befestigung von Scheuermitteln sollten in den Anforderungsnormen angegeben werden.
Diese Europäische Norm kann als Bezugsnorm für die Abriebfestigkeit in Normen und Spezifikationen für textile Schutzkleidungsmaterialien genutzt werden.

Résistance à l'abrasion du matériau constitutif d'un vêtement de protection - Méthodes d'essai

La présente Norme européenne décrit deux méthodes d’essai de résistance à l’abrasion des matériaux,
toutes deux utilisant le même appareillage. La première méthode décrit la détermination de la résistance à
l’abrasion des matériaux constitutifs des vêtements de protection. La seconde méthode décrit un
prétraitement par abrasion de ces matériaux lorsque les échantillons d’essai sont utilisés ultérieurement pour
l’évaluation des propriétés de protection restantes.
L’abrasif de la présente norme est considéré comme étant un tissu de laine.
Si d’autres abrasifs sont utilisés (comme le papier de verre par exemple), il convient qu’ils soient notés dans
les exigences de la norme spécifique. Il convient que les instructions de mise en place des abrasifs spéciaux
soient décrites dans les exigences de la norme.
La présente Norme européenne s’applique comme norme de référence sur l’abrasion pour les normes et les
spécifications relatives aux vêtements de protection.

Material za varovalno obleko, odporen proti obrabi - Preskusne metode

Ta evropski standard opisuje dve preskusni metodi za materiale, odporne proti obrabi, ki uporabljata isti aparat za drgnjenje. Prva metoda opisuje ugotavljanje odpornosti proti obrabi materialov za varovalno obleko. Druga metoda opisuje predobdelavo pri obrabi teh materialov, pri kateri se preskusni primerki uporabijo kasneje pri drugih preskusnih metodah ali za vrednotenje drugih varovalnih lastnosti. V tem standardu je pripomoček za drgnjenje volnena tkanina. Če se uporabljajo drugi pripomočki za drgnjenje (npr. stekleni papir), morajo biti določeni v standardu za zahteve. Navodila za namestitev posebnih pripomočkov za drgnjenje marojo biti opisana v standardih za zahteve. Ta evropski standard se uporablja kot referenčni standard o obrabi za standarde in specifikacije tekstilnih materialov za varovalno obleko.
