Protective clothing against liquid and gaseous chemicals, including liquid aerosols and solid particles - Part 1: Performance requirements for ventilated and non-ventilated "gas-tight" (Type 1) and "non-gas-tight" (Type 2) chemical protective suits

This European Standard specifies the minimum requirements, test methods, marking and information supplied by the manufacturer for the following ventilated and non-ventilated limited use and re-usable chemical protective suits, including component parts such as gloves and boots which can be specified elsewhere.
Type 1 - "gas-tight" chemical protective suit
Type 1a - "gas-tight" chemical protective suit with a breathable air supply independent of the ambient atmosphere, e.g. a self-contained open-circuit compressed air breathing apparatus, worn inside the chemical protective suit.
Type 1b - "gas-tight" chemical protective suit with a breathable air supply, e.g. a self-contained open- circuit compressed air breathing apparatus, worn outside the chemical protective suit.
NOTE   As chemical protective suits are used with respiratory devices, special attention should be given to the adequate selection of respiratory protective equipment. The limiting factors for the use of respirator filters (e.g. oxygen deficiency) should be taken into consideration.
Type 1c - "gas-tight" chemical protective suit with breathable air providing positive pressure, e.g. air lines.
Type 2 -"non-gas tight" chemical protective suit
"Non-gas-tight" chemical protective suit with breathable air providing positive pressure.

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Mindestanforderungen, Prüfverfahren, Kennzeichnung und Informationen des Herstellers für die folgenden belüfteten und nicht belüfteten zum begrenzten Einsatz und zur Wiederverwendung bestimmten Chemikalienschutzanzüge, einschließlich der Zubehörteile wie Handschuhe und Stiefel, die in anderen Normen festgelegt sein können, fest.
Typ 1 - "gasdichter" Chemikalienschutzanzug
Typ 1a) - "gasdichter" Chemikalienschutzanzug mit einer im Chemikalienschutzanzug getragenen umgebungsluftunabhängigen Atemluftversorgung, z. B. einem Behältergerät mit Druckluft.
Typ 1b) - "gasdichter" Chemikalienschutzanzug mit einer außerhalb des Chemikalienschutzanzuges getragenen Atemluftversorgung, z. B. einem Behältergerät mit Druckluft.
ANMERKUNG   Da Chemikalienschutzanzüge in Verbindung mit Atemgeräten benutzt werden, sollte der angemessenen Auswahl der Atemschutzgeräte besondere Aufmerksamkeit gewidmet werden. Die begrenzenden Faktoren für den Gebrauch von Atemfiltern (z. B. Sauerstoffmangel) sollten berücksichtigt werden.
Typ 1c) - "gasdichter" Chemikalienschutzanzug mit einer Atemluftversorgung mit Überdruck, z. B. aus externen Leitungen.
Typ 2 - "nicht gasdichter" Chemikalienschutzanzug
"Nicht gasdichter" Chemikalienschutzanzug mit einer Atemluftversorgung mit Überdruck.

Vêtements de protection contre les produits chimiques liquides et gazeux, y compris les aérosols liquides et les particules solides - Partie 1 : Exigences de performance des combinaisons de protection chimique ventilées et non ventilées

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les exigences minimales, les méthodes d'essai, le marquage ainsi que la notice d'information du fabricant relatifs aux combinaisons de protection chimique ventilées et non-ventilées, à utilisation limitée et réutilisables, y compris les éléments tels que les gants et les bottes qui peuvent être spécifiés ailleurs.
Type 1 - Combinaison de protection chimique « étanche aux gaz »
Type 1a - Combinaison de protection chimique, « étanche aux gaz », à alimentation en air respirable indépendante de l'atmosphère ambiante, par exemple un appareil de protection respiratoire isolant autonome à circuit ouvert, à air comprimé, porté à l'intérieur de la combinaison de protection chimique.
Type 1b - Combinaison de protection chimique, « étanche aux gaz », à alimentation en air respirable, par exemple un appareil de protection respiratoire isolant autonome à circuit ouvert, à air comprimé, porté à l'extérieur de la combinaison de protection chimique.
NOTE   Etant donné que les combinaisons de protection chimique sont utilisées avec des appareils de protection respiratoire, il convient de veiller tout spécialement à choisir de façon appropriée les équipements de protection respiratoire. Il convient de tenir compte des facteurs de limitations d'emploi des filtres respiratoires (un défaut d'oxygène, par exemple).
Type 1c - Combinaison de protection chimique, « étanche aux gaz », à air respirable à pression positive, à adduction d'air par exemple.
Type 2 - Combinaison de protection chimique, « non étanche aux gaz »
Combinaison de protection chimique, « non étanche aux gaz », à air respirable assurant une pression positive.
