Thermal insulation products for buildings - Factory made calcium silicate (CS) products - Specification
This European Standard specifies the characteristics for factory made calcium silicate products with or without lamination or coating which are used for the thermal insulation of buildings.
Calcium silicate insulation material comprising hydrated calcium silicate, normally reinforced by incorporated fibres. The main crystal phases are Xonotlite, Tobermorite with or without Wollastonite.
The products are manufactured in the form of boards, segments and prefabricated ware.
The standard covers multi-layered CS products.
This European Standard describes product characteristics and includes procedures for testing, evaluation of conformity, marking and labelling.
This European Standard does not specify the required level or class of a given property that shall be achieved by a product to demonstrate fitness for purpose in a particular application. The levels required for a given application can be found in regulations and invitations to tender.
This European Standard is not valid for products with a declared thermal conductivity greater than 0,075 W/(mK) at 10 °C.
This European Standard does not cover aerated concrete, autoclaved aerated concrete, mineral foam insulating products and sand-lime bricks as well as in situ insulation products and products intended to be used for the insulation of the building equipment and industrial installations.

Dieses Dokument legt die Merkmale für werkmäßig hergestellte Produkte aus Calciumsilikat (CS) mit oder ohne Laminierung oder Beschichtung fest, die zur Verwendung bei der Wärmedämmung von Gebäuden vorgesehen sind.
Dieses Dokument ist anwendbar auf Werkstoffe mit den Hauptkristallphasen Xonotlit und Tobermorit mit oder ohne Wollastonit.

Dieses Dokument ist anwendbar auf mehrschichtige CS-Produkte.
Die durch dieses Dokument abgedeckten Produkte können in Dächern, Wänden, Decken und Böden verwendet werden.
Dieses Dokument legt Verfahren zur Bewertung und Überprüfung der Leistungsbeständigkeit (AVCP, en: assessment and verification of constancy of performance) von Eigenschaften werkmäßig hergestellter Produkte aus Calciumsilikat (CS) fest.
Dieses Dokument behandelt nicht:
- Produkte, die für eine Verwendung als Dämmung von Gebäudeeinrichtungen und industriellen Anlagen vorgesehen sind;
- Produkte, die für eine Verwendung bei Tiefbauarbeiten vorgesehen sind;
- Produkte mit einer angegebenen Wärmeleitfähigkeit über 0,078 W/(mK) bei 10 °C;
- Porenbeton, dampfgehärteten Porenbeton, Mineralschaum-Dämmprodukte und Kalksandstein;
- am Verwendungsort gefertigte Produkte.

Le présent document spécifie les caractéristiques des produits manufacturés en silicate de calcium (SC), laminés ou non, avec ou sans enduit de finition, destinés à être utilisés pour l’isolation thermique des bâtiments.
Le présent document est applicable aux matériaux dont les principales phases cristallines sont la xonotlite et la tobermorite avec ou sans wollastonite.
Le présent document est applicable aux produits fabriqués sous forme de panneaux, de segments et de marchandises préfabriquées.
Le présent document est applicable aux produits multicouches SC.
Les produits couverts par le présent document peuvent être utilisés dans les toitures, les murs, les plafonds et les planchers.
Le présent document spécifie les modes opératoires d'évaluation et de vérification de la constance des performances (EVCP) des caractéristiques de produits en silicate de calcium (SC) manufacturés.
Le présent document ne couvre pas :
- les produits destinés à être utilisés pour l’isolation d’équipements de bâtiment et d’installations industrielles ;
- les produits destinés à être utilisés pour les ouvrages de génie civil ;
- les produits ayant une conductivité thermique déclarée supérieure à 0,078 W/(mK) à 10 °C ;
- les produits isolants en béton cellulaire, en béton cellulaire autoclavé ou en mousse minérale, et les briques silico-calcaires ;
- les produits isolants in situ.
