Children's furniture - Cribs - Safety requirements and test methods

This document specifies safety requirements and test methods for cribs (including cradles, suspended cribs and bedside sleepers) for domestic and non-domestic use.
The requirements apply to cribs with a maximum internal length of crib base of 900 mm which are intended to provide sleeping accommodation for infants, until they are able to sit unaided or pull or push themselves up on their hands and knees.
This document does not apply to electrical safety.
It does not apply to cribs used for medical purposes or used in hospitals.
Products that can be converted into other items may be covered by other relevant European Standards.
Annex A (informative) includes a rationale.
Annex B (informative) includes an A-deviation.

Kindermöbel - Krippen - Sicherheitstechnische Anforderungen und Prüfverfahren

Dieses Dokument legt Sicherheitsanforderungen und Prüfverfahren für Krippen (einschließlich Wiegen, Hängekrippen und Beistellbetten) für den häuslichen und nichthäuslichen Gebrauch fest.
Die Anforderungen gelten für Krippen mit einer maximalen Innenlänge des Krippenbodens von 900 mm, welche als Schlafplatz für Kleinkinder vorgesehen sind, bis diese in der Lage sind, eigenständig zu sitzen oder sich auf ihre Hände und Knie hochzuziehen oder hochzudrücken.
Dieses Dokument gilt nicht für elektrische Sicherheit.
Es gilt nicht für Krippen, welche für medizinische Zwecke oder in Krankenhäusern eingesetzt werden.
Produkte, die in andere Möbelstücke umgebaut werden können, werden möglicherweise durch andere maßgebende Europäische Normen abgedeckt.

Le présent document spécifie les exigences de sécurité et les méthodes d’essai relatives aux berceaux (y compris les berceaux à bascule, les berceaux suspendus et les cododos) pour un usage domestique et autre que domestique.
Les exigences s’appliquent aux berceaux dont la longueur intérieure maximale du sommier est de 900 mm, prévus pour servir de couchage aux nourrissons jusqu’à ce qu’ils puissent se tenir assis seuls, se lever ou se mettre à quatre pattes.
Le présent document ne s’applique pas à la sécurité électrique.
Il ne s’applique pas aux berceaux utilisés pour des raisons médicales ou dans des hôpitaux.
Les produits qui peuvent être convertis en d’autres articles peuvent être couverts par d’autres Normes européennes applicables.

Ta evropski standard določa varnostne zahteve za otroške posteljice (vključno z zibelkami, visečimi otroškimi posteljicami in priposteljnimi ležišči) za stanovanjske in nestanovanjske prostore, ki imajo notranjo dolžino podlage manjšo ali enako 900 mm in se uporabljajo za spanje majhnih dojenčkov, dokler ti ne morejo sedeti brez opore ali se opreti na roke in kolena. Izdelke, ki jih je mogoče pretvoriti v druge izdelke, lahko zajemajo drugi ustrezni evropski standardi.
Ta evropski standard ne zajema električnih varnostnih zahtev. Ta standard ne zajema otroških posteljic za medicinske namene. Ta standard ne zajema vzmetnic, priloženih posteljicam.
