Plastics piping systems - Mechanical joints between fittings and pressure pipes - Test method for resistance to pull-out under constant longitudinal force (ISO 3501:2021)

This document specifies a method for checking the ability of assembled uniaxial joints between fittings and plastic pressure pipes to withstand longitudinal tensile stresses. The test applies regardless of the design and material of the fitting used for jointing plastics pipe.
This test method is not applicable to fusion-welded joints.

Dieses Dokument legt ein Verfahren zur Prüfung der Eignung von einachsigen Montage¬verbindungen zwischen Formstücken und Kunststoff-Druckrohren, axialen Zugbeanspruchungen (Zug¬spannungen) zu widerstehen, fest. Die Prüfung ist anzuwenden unabhängig von der konstruktiven Auslegung und dem Werkstoff des Formstücks, das für die Verbindung der Kunststoffrohre verwendet wird.
Das Prüfverfahren gilt nicht für Schmelzschweißverbindungen.

Le présent document spécifie une méthode de vérification de la résistance à la traction longitudinale des assemblages uniaxiaux entre raccords et tubes plastiques sous pression. L’essai s’applique, quelles que soient la conception et la matière du raccord utilisé pour le raccordement des tubes plastiques.
La présente méthode d’essai n’est pas applicable aux assemblages soudés par fusion.

Ta dokument določa metodo za preverjanje zmožnosti sestavljenih enoosnih spojev med fitingi
in plastičnimi tlačnimi cevmi, da prenesejo osne natezne obremenitve. Preskus se uporablja ne glede na
konstrukcijo in material fitinga za spajanje plastičnih cevi.
Ta preskusna metoda se ne uporablja za talilno zvarjene spoje.

This document (EN ISO 3501:2022) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 138 "Plastics
pipes, fittings and valves for the transport of fluids" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC
155 “Plastics piping systems and ducting systems” the secretariat of which is held by NEN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by July 2022, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by July 2022.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN ISO 3501:2015.
