Residential solid fuel burning appliances - Part 2-6: Mechanically by wood pellets fed roomheaters, inset appliances and cookers
This document is applicable to mechanical by wood pellets fed roomheaters, inset appliances and cookers up to 50 kW nominal heat output.
The intended use of the appliances is space heating in residential buildings and can be cooking. They can be fitted with a boiler (integral part of the appliance containing water to be heated up) for the supply of hot water for central heating systems.
These appliances typically use auxiliary energy which is measured in this document as well. They can be operated with either natural draught or fan-assisted combustion air.
NOTE A fan-assisted appliance does still operate under negative pressure in the flue gas system.
These appliances burn wood pellets only as specified. They only operate with the firedoors closed.
This document is not applicable to appliances:
- with boiler intended for water systems having water temperatures above 110 °C and 3 bar;
- with boiler intended for water systems having direct contact with sanitary hot water;
- intended to be used with a pure horizontal exhaust (through the building wall);
- with flue gas condensation in the appliance;
- switching on/off for part load operation.
This document specifies procedures for assessment and verification of constancy of performance (AVCP) of characteristics of mechanical by wood pellets fed roomheaters, inset appliances and cookers.

Dieses Dokument ist anwendbar auf mechanisch mit Holzpellets beschickte Raumheizer, Einsätze und Herde mit einer Nennwärmeleistung bis 50 kW.
Der Verwendungszweck der Geräte ist Raumheizung in Wohngebäuden und kann das Kochen sein. Sie können mit wasserführenden Bauteilen (als feste Bestandteile des Gerätes mit zu erhitzendem Wasser) zur Warmwasserbereitung der Zentralheizung ausgestattet sein.
Diese Geräte verwenden typischerweise Hilfsenergie, die ebenfalls in diesem Dokument bestimmt wird. Sie können mit natürlichem Förderdruck oder mit gebläseunterstützter Verbrennungsluftzufuhr betrieben werden.
ANMERKUNG Eine gebläseunterstützte Feuerstätte arbeitet bei Unterdruck im Abgassystem.
Diese Geräte verfeuern nur entsprechend spezifizierte Holzpellets. Sie werden nur mit geschlossenen Feuerraumtüren betrieben.
Dieses Dokument ist nicht anzuwenden für Geräte:
— mit wasserführenden Bauteilen vorgesehen für Wassersysteme mit einer Wassertemperatur über 110 °C und 3 bar;
— mit wasserführenden Bauteilen vorgesehen für Wassersysteme mit direktem Kontakt zu Brauchwarmwasser;
— die für den Betrieb mit direkter horizontaler Abgasführung (durch die Gebäudewand) vorgesehen sind;
— mit Abgaskondensation in der Feuerstätte;
— mit an- und ausschaltendem Teillast-Betrieb.
Dieses Dokument legt das Verfahren für die Bewertung und Überprüfung der Leistungsbeständigkeit (AVCP) der Eigenschaften von mechanisch mit Holzpellets beschickten Raumheizern, Einsätzen und Herden fest.

Le présent document s'applique aux poêles, inserts et cuisinières à granulés de bois et à alimentation mécanique, de puissance utile nominale inférieure ou égale à 50 kW.
L'usage prévu des appareils est le chauffage des locaux dans les bâtiments résidentiels et éventuellement la cuisson. Ils peuvent être équipés d'un bouilleur (faisant partie intégrante de l'appareil et contenant de l'eau à chauffer) pour fournir de l’eau chaude aux systèmes de chauffage central.
Ces appareils utilisent généralement de l’énergie auxiliaire, qui est également mesurée dans le présent document. Ils peuvent fonctionner en tirage naturel ou être équipés d’un ventilateur pour l’alimentation en air de combustion.
Ces appareils utilisent uniquement des granulés de bois spécifiés. Ils ne fonctionnent qu’avec les portes foyères fermées.
NOTE Un appareil équipé d’un ventilateur fonctionne toujours avec un conduit de fumées soumis à une pression négative.
Le présent document ne s’applique pas aux appareils :
- à bouilleur prévu pour les circuits d’eau dont la température d’eau est supérieure à 110 °C 3 bar ;
- à bouilleur prévu pour les circuits d’eau en contact direct avec de l’eau chaude sanitaire ;
- prévus pour une utilisation avec une évacuation purement horizontale (directement à travers le mur du bâtiment) ;
- à condensation des fumées dans l’appareil ;
- à commutation marche/arrêt pour un fonctionnement à charge partielle.
Le présent document spécifie des modes opératoires pour l'évaluation et la vérification de la constance des performances (EVCP) des caractéristiques des poêles, inserts et cuisinières à granulés de bois et à alimentation mécanique.

Ta del 2-6 skupine evropskih standardov se uporablja za grelnike prostorov, vgradne naprave in štedilnike na lesne pelete z mehanskim dodajanjem z nazivno grelno močjo do 50 kW. Te naprave običajno uporabljajo pomožno energijo, ki se tudi meri v tem standardu.
Za vgradne naprave na pelete in zlasti njihovo preskušanje so potrebne dodatne informacije iz standarda prEN 16510 2 2.
Za štedilnike na pelete in zlasti njihovo preskušanje so potrebne dodatne informacije iz standarda prEN 16510 2 3.
Naprave brez mehanskega dodajanja, ki uporabljajo trdna mineralna goriva, šotne brikete in polena iz naravnega ali predelanega lesa, niso vključene v ta evropski standard, ampak so zajete v standardih prEN 16510 2 1 do prEN 16510 2 5.
OPOMBA: Te naprave imajo lahko vgrajen rezervoar za gorivo ali pa so kombinirane z zunanjim rezervoarjem za gorivo.
Ta evropski standard naj bi se uporabljal v povezavi s standardom prEN 16510-1.
Naprave, zajete v tem delu 2-6, zagotavljajo toploto v prostor, kjer so nameščene. Delujejo lahko z naravnim vlekom ali zrakom za zgorevanje s pomočjo ventilatorja. Če so opremljene s kotlom, zagotavljajo tudi sanitarno vodo in/ali centralno ogrevanje. V skladu z navodili proizvajalca je v teh napravah mogoče kuriti samo lesne pelete. Delujejo le, ko so protipožarna vrata zaprta.
OPOMBA: Naprava z ventilatorjem še vedno deluje s podtlakom v izpušnem sistemu.
Ta evropski standard določa zahteve v zvezi z zasnovo, izdelavo, sestavo, varnostjo in zmogljivostjo (učinkovitostjo in emisijami), navodili in oznakami skupaj s pripadajočimi preskusnimi metodami in preskusnimi gorivi.
Ta evropski standard se ne uporablja za naprave:
– s kotlom, namenjenim za vodne sisteme s temperaturo vode nad 110 °C in 3 bari;
– s kotlom, namenjenim za vodne sisteme, ki imajo neposreden stik s sanitarno toplo vodo;
– namenjene za uporabo samo z vodoravnim izpuhom (skozi steno stavbe);
– s kondenzacijo dimnih plinov v napravi;
– z vklopom/izklopom pri delni obremenitvi.
