Gas-fired overhead radiant heaters - Ventilation requirements for non-domestic premises
This European Standard specifies the requirements for the ventilation of non-domestic premises where gas-fired radiant heaters complying with EN 416-1:1999 or EN 419-1:1999 are installed and operated.
This European Standard is applicable to type A appliances (see 3.2).

Diese Europäische Norm enthält die Anforderungen für die Be- und Entlüftung von gewerblich und industriell
genutzten Gebäuden, in denen gasbeheizte Heizstrahler, die den Europäischen Normen EN 416-1:1999 oder
EN 419-1:1999 entsprechen, installiert sind und betrieben werden.
Diese Europäische Norm ist für Geräte des Typs A anwendbar (siehe 3.2).

La présente Norme européenne traite des exigences relatives à la ventilation des locaux à usage non domestique dans lesquels sont installés et utilisés des appareils de chauffage à rayonnement utilisant les combustibles gazeux conformes à l'EN 416-1:1999 ou à l'EN 419-1:1999.
La présente norme européenne s'applique aux appareils de type A (voir 3.2).

EN 13410:2001 (E)2ForewordThis European Standard has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 180 "Non-domestic gas-firedoverhead radiant heaters", the secretariat of which is held by BSI.This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identicaltext or by endorsement, at the latest by February 2002, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawnat the latest by February 2002.This European Standard has been prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European Commissionand the European Free Trade Association, and supports essential requirements of EU Directive(s).According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of the followingcountries are bound to implement this European Standard: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark,Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal,Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.Gas-fired overhead radiant heaters fall within the scope of the Gas Appliance Directive, 90/396/EEC and assuch are required to bear the CE mark according to the appropriate Regulations.This European Standard has been prepared with the support of CEN/PC 3, now replaced by the SectorForum Gas, with the intention of harmonising national installation and ventilation requirements for heatingsystems, consisting of one or more individual overhead radiant heating appliances.The scope of the Gas Appliance Directive does not indicate a maximum value for the heat input of anindividual gas appliance. However, in the scope of EN 416-1: 1999 and EN 419-1:1999 the heat input of anindividual radiant heater is limited to 120 kW (based on the net calorific value of the appropriate referencegas), this being the maximum rating at which it is anticipated that an appliance of the type covered by thisstandard will be marketed, installed and operated.SIST EN 13410:2002
