This document specifies the activities and responsibilities of the AM operators in the field of the additive manufacturing (AM) technologies dealing with metallic parts production.
This document is intended to provide guidance for qualification of AM machine operators in general industrial applications. Where industry-specific requirements exist for the qualification of AM operators, such as ISO/ASTM 52942 for aerospace applications, those industry-specific standards are used instead of this document.

Dieses Dokument ist als Leitfaden für die Qualifizierung von Maschinenbedienern in der additiven Fertigung in allgemeinen industriellen Anwendungen konzipiert. Gibt es branchenspezifische Anforderungen für die Qualifikation von Bedienern in der additiven Fertigung, wie z. B. ISO/ASTM 52942 für Anwendungen in der Luft- und Raumfahrt, so sind diese branchenspezifischen Normen anstelle dieses Dokuments anzuwenden.

Le présent document est destiné à fournir des conseils pour la qualification des opérateurs de machines de FA dans les applications industrielles générales. Lorsque des exigences spécifiques de l'industrie existent pour la qualification des opérateurs, telles que l'ISO/ASTM 52942 pour les applications aérospatiales, ces normes spécifiques de l'industrie sont utilisées au lieu du présent document.

Namen tega dokumenta je zagotoviti navodila za kvalifikacijo operaterjev strojev za aditivno proizvodnjo v splošni industrijski uporabi. Če obstajajo posebne industrijske zahteve za kvalifikacijo operaterjev za aditivno proizvodnjo, kot je standard ISO/ASTM 52942 za uporabo v aeronavtiki, se ti posebni industrijski standardi uporabljajo namesto tega dokumenta.

This document (EN ISO/ASTM 52926-1:2023) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 261
"Additive manufacturing" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 438 “Additive
Manufacturing” the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by May 2024, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by May 2024.
