ISO 1071:2015 specifies requirements for classification of covered electrodes for manual metal arc welding, wire electrodes for metal arc welding, tubular cored electrodes for metal arc welding with and without a gas shield, rods for TIG-welding, and rods for oxy-fuel gas welding of unalloyed cast irons. Classification is based on the chemical composition of wires and rods and on the all-weld metal deposit for tubular cored and covered electrodes.

Diese Internationale Norm legt Anforderungen für die Einteilung von umhüllten Stabelektroden zum Lichtbogenhandschweißen, von Drahtelektroden zum Metall-Lichtbogenschweißen, von Fülldrahtelektroden zum Metall-Lichtbogenschweißen mit und ohne Schutzgas, von Stäben zum Wolfram-Inertgasschweißen und von Stäben zum Gasschmelzschweißen unlegierter Gusseisenwerkstoffe fest. Die Einteilung erfolgt entsprechend der chemischen Zusammensetzung der Drahtelektroden und Stäbe sowie des reinen Schweißgutes von umhüllten Stab-elektroden und Fülldrahtelektroden.

ISO 1071:2015 spécifie les exigences pour la classification des électrodes enrobées utilisées en soudage manuel à l'arc avec électrode enrobée, des fils-électrodes utilisés en soudage à l'arc avec électrode fusible, des fils fourrés utilisés en soudage à l'arc avec électrode fusible (avec et sans gaz de protection), des baguettes utilisées pour le soudage TIG et des baguettes utilisées pour le soudage oxygaz des fontes non alliées. La classification est basée sur la composition chimique des fils et des baguettes et sur le dépôt de métal fondu hors dilution dans le cas des fils fourrés et des électrodes enrobées.

Ta mednarodni standard določa zahteve za razvrstitev oplaščenih elektrod za ročno obločno varjenje, žičnih elektrod za obločno varjenje, cevnih strženskih elektrod za obločno varjenje s plinsko zaščito in brez nje, palic za varjenje TIG in palic za plamensko varjenje s kisikom (nelegirane železove litine). Razvrstitev temelji na kemični sestavi žic in palic ter čistih varov za cevne strženske in oplaščene elektrode.

This document (EN ISO 1071:2015) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 44 "Welding
and allied processes" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 121 “Welding and allied
processes” the secretariat of which is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by June 2016, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by June 2016.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN [and/or CENELEC] shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent

This document supersedes EN ISO 1071:2003.
