Qualification test of welders - Fusion welding - Part 6: Cast iron
This European Standard specifies main requirements, limits, inspection conditions and acceptance require-ments as well as related inspection documents of welders for welded cast iron test pieces and workpieces.
It provides a set of technical rules for a systematic qualification test of a welder‘s skills, and enables such qualifications to be uniformly accepted independently of the type of product, location and examiner/examining body.
This European Standard specifies the testing of a welder’s skill unless a higher level skill test is applicable.
The acceptance of a welder’s skill according to this standard implies a practical experience and knowledge regarding the welding process, materials and safety requirements (see Annex C).
This European Standard has to be used when requirements on part of a customer, testing or monitoring body or other organisation are postulated.
This European Standard defines the qualification test of welders for the fusion welding of cast iron. The weld-ing processes referred to in this standard include those fusion welding processes which are designated as manual or partly mechanized welding. It does not cover fully mechanized and automated welding processes (see EN 1418). Cast iron materials which are covered by this European Standard are mentioned in 5.4.
The inspection document and certification is made out in the name of the testing body’s liability.

Diese Europäische Norm legt die wesentlichen Anforderungen, Geltungsbereiche, Prüfbedingungen und
Abnahmeanforderungen sowie die dazugehörigen Prüfbescheinigungen von Schweißern für geschweißte
Bauteile und Werkstücke aus Gusseisen fest.
Sie stellt eine Reihe technischer Regeln für systematische Prüfungen der Handfertigkeit von Schweißern auf
und ermöglicht so, dass diese Qualifizierungen unabhängig von der Art des Erzeugnisses, des Ortes und des
Prüfers/der Prüfstelle einheitlich akzeptiert werden.
In dieser Europäischen Norm wird die Prüfung der Handfertigkeit eines Schweißers festgelegt, sofern nicht
eine Prüfung auf einem höheren Niveau maßgebend ist.
Die Anerkennung der Handfertigkeit eines Schweißers nach dieser Europäischen Norm setzt praktische
Erfahrungen und Kenntnisse im Hinblick auf den Schweißprozess, die Werkstoffe und die
sicherheitstechnischen Anforderungen voraus (siehe Anhang C).
Diese Europäische Norm ist anzuwenden, wenn von Seiten eines Kunden, einer Prüf- bzw.
Überwachungsstelle oder einer anderen Organisation bestimmte Anforderungen zur Bedingung gemacht
werden.
Diese Europäische Norm legt die Schweißerprüfung für das Schmelzschweißen von Gusseisen fest. Die
Schweißprozesse, auf die in dieser Norm verwiesen wird, umfassen die als Handschweißen oder
teilmechanisches Schweißen bezeichneten Schmelzschweißprozesse. Vollmechanische und automatische
Schweißprozesse werden in dieser Norm nicht berücksichtigt, siehe EN 1418. In 5.4 sind
Gusseisenwerkstoffe angegeben, die in dieser Europäischen Norm berücksichtigt werden.
Die Prüfbescheinigungen werden unter der Verantwortung der Prüfstelle ausgestellt.

La présente norme européenne spécifie les exigences principales, les limites, conditions d’inspection et
exigences d’acceptation, ainsi que les documents de contrôle des soudeurs concernant les assemblages de
qualification et les pièces en fonte soudés.
Il fournit un ensemble de règles techniques pour l’épreuve de qualification systématique des soudeurs, et
permet à de telles qualifications d’être acceptées uniformément, indépendamment du type de produit, du lieu
et de l’examinateur ou de l’organisme d’examen.
La présente norme européenne spécifie le contrôle de l’habileté d’un soudeur, sauf si une épreuve de niveau
supérieur est applicable.
La reconnaissance des compétences d’un soudeur conformément à la présente norme européenne implique
une expérience et une connaissance pratique des procédés de soudage, des matériaux d’apport et des
exigences de sécurité (voir Annexe C).
La présente norme européenne doit être utilisée en cas d’exigences de la part du client, de l’organisme
d’essai ou de surveillance, ou de la part d’un autre organisme.
La présente norme européenne définit l’épreuve de qualification des soudeurs pour le soudage par fusion de
la fonte. Les procédés de soudage auxquels il est fait référence dans la présente norme européenne incluent
les procédés de soudage par fusion manuels ou semi-automatiques. La présente norme européenne ne traite
pas des procédés de soudage entièrement mécanisés et automatisés (voir EN 1418). Les matériaux en fonte
relevant de la présente norme européenne sont mentionnés en 5.4.
Le document de contrôle et la certification sont élaborés au nom de l’organisme d’essai.

Ta evropski standard opredeljuje glavne zahteve, mejne vrednosti, inšpekcijske pogoje in zahteve sprejemljivosti, kot tudi inšpekcijske dokumente, povezane z varilci testnih kosov in obdelovancev varjene železove litine. Podaja nabor tehničnih pravil za sistematično preskušanje kvalifikacij glede varilčeve praktične usposobljenosti, in omogoča, da so tovrstne kvalifikacije enotno sprejete, neodvisno od tipa izdelka, lokacije in preglednika/organa za preverjanje praktične usposobljenosti. Ta evropski standard določa preskušanje varilčeve praktične usposobljenosti, razen če se uporablja za preverjanje praktične usposobljenosti višje stopnje. Sprejemljivost varilčeve praktične usposobljenosti v skladu s tem evropskim standardom pomeni praktične izkušnje in znanje glede postopka varjenja, materialov in varnostnih zahtev (glej Dodatek C). Ta evropski standard je treba uporabljati kadar so postavljene zahteve s strani stranke, organa za preskušanje ali nadzor, ali druge organizacije. Ta evropski standard določa preskus kvalifikacij varilcev za talilno varjenje železove litine. Postopki varjenja, navedeni v tem standardu, vključujejo talilne postopke varjenja, ki so opredeljeni kot ročno ali delno mehanizirano varjenje.
