This part of the European Standard specifies specific performance requirements and test methods under prescribed laboratory and field conditions for diffusive samplers used for the determination of the concentration of gases or vapours in ambient air. Such requirements apply to all diffusive samplers, irrespective of the physical nature of the rate-controlling process and irrespective of the nature of the sorption process and the analytical determination.

Diese Europäische Norm legt spezifische Leistungsanforderungen und Prüfverfahren unter vorgeschriebenen Labor- und Feldbedingungen für Passivsammler, die zur Bestimmung der Konzentration von Gasen oder Dämpfen in Außenluft eingesetzt werden, fest.
Solche Anforderungen gelten für alle Passivsammler, unabhängig von der physikalischen Natur des die Sammelrate bestimmenden Vorgangs und unabhängig von der Art des Sorptionsvorgangs und der analytischen Bestimmung.
Diese Norm gilt für alle Schritte des Messverfahrens, einschließlich Aufstellung, Transport und Lagerung der Probe, soweit zutreffend.
Diese Norm gilt für Messverfahren mit getrennten Probenahme- und Analyseschritten und auch für direkt anzeigende Vorrichtungen.
Dieser Teil der Europäischen Norm ist für Passivsammler nach 3.6 von 13528-1:2002 anwendbar.
Dieser Teil der Europäischen Norm soll es Herstellern und Anwendern von Passivsammlern ermöglichen, einen einheitlichen Ansatz zur Validierung von Passivsammlern zu übernehmen und er soll eine Grundlage zur Beurteilung der Leistung eines Sammlers bezüglich der in EN 13528-1 festgelegten Kriterien zur Verfügung stellen. Es liegt in der Verantwortung jedes Herstellers von Passivsammlern sicherzustellen, dass der Sammler den in dieser Norm angegebenen Datenqualitätszielen entspricht.

La présente partie de cette Norme européenne spécifie les exigences particulières de performance et les méthodes d'essai dans des conditions prescrites de laboratoire et de site, applicables aux échantillonneurs par diffusion utilisés pour déterminer la concentration des gaz ou des vapeurs dans l'air ambiant.Ces exigences s'appliquent à tous les échantillonneurs par diffusion quelles que soient la nature physique du processus de contrôle du débit et la nature du procédé de sorption et de la détermination analytique.La présente norme s'applique à toutes les étapes de la procédure de mesurage, y compris le transport et le stockage de l'échantillon, le cas échéant.Elle s'applique aux procédures de mesurage qui comportent des phases distinctes d'échantillonnage et d'analyse, ainsi qu'aux instruments à lecture directe.La présente partie de cette norme européenne s'applique aux échantillonneurs par diffusion conformes au 3.6 de l'EN 13528-1:2002.Il convient que la présente partie de la norme permette aux fabricants et aux utilisateurs d'échantillonneurs par diffusion d'adopter une méthode cohérente de validation des échantillonneurs et de prévoir un cadre pour l'évaluation de la performance de ces derniers par rapport aux critères spécifiés dans l'EN 13528-1. Il incombe au fabricant ou aux personnes chargées du montage des échantillonneurs par diffusion de s'assurer que l'échantillonneur est conforme aux objectifs de qualité des données indiqués dans la présente norme européenne.La présente partie de l'EN 13528 indique les exigences et méthodes d'essai pour la détermination de l'incertitude de mesure, afin de démontrer la conformité avec les objectifs de qualité des données prescrits concernant les méthodes à utiliser pour satisfaire à la Directive du Conseil relative à l'estimation et à la gestion de la qualité de l'air ambiant.
